    Possible asbestos in new apartment

I've recently moved, and I had internet installed today. A hole had to be drilled in the wall (of course). This particular room is upstairs in an old house converted into a 4plex. The walls are either plaster or drywall, not sure. But a friend of mine says it appears to have asbestos in it. Is this a concern for me? From what I've been reading, it's perfectly safe as long as it doesn't get airborne by someone, oh I don't know, drilling holes? lol.

The lab and scale office where I work has a first layer of floor tile that has asbestos. when the new tile was put on floors they had it tested by a company that deals with asbestos containing material said as long as it didnt get disturbed it was not dangerous.

asbestos is used to build streets and what not

they say you can get cancer, I am not sure

get a specialist to check out the house

I think it's more important to check for MOLD rather than asbestos

        Mold can be really dangerous.

I wouldn't worry about it. As the others said, if it's undisturbed, it's as safe as snus. Is your friend qualified to identify asbestos?
