    Religious beliefs

Out of curiosity, what are your religious beliefs? I'll start.....I, myself, am a Christian. I try to go to church when I can, namely when I don't have to work a Sunday.

Due to divorced hippy parents who between the two of them bounced me all over the land, I went to more denominations of churches growing up than most so it pointed me to being Agnostic.

In other words I still dont know what to believe. Occasionally on a rare bad day I find myself talking to some version of a god, or even cracking a joke out loud with a dead relative, but most days I dismiss it all and find it impossible to believe in a supreme being or an everlasting soul. I have formulated many theories over my lifetime, and then as quickly as I agree thats the one, I find another ADHD moment is upon me and I find something else shiny to stare at for 3 seconds.

    How will it all end?

I will let you know when I die.

I am a protestant because people around here are protestants. I am not a believer, sorry. But if I was to choose a religion, I would chose catholicism. Not because of the choir boys, but because of the beauty of the cermons. And the cathedrals, ofcourse.

I'd say I'm pretty well in the same boat. I grew up Christian, and went to music ministry school to become a worship leader after high school, like a good boy. After about 3 years of that, a lot of questions about my faith that I had been repressing (because if we asked questions, we didn't have enough faith) started surfacing. Shortly after, I joined the Army, which was the first dose of the real world outside of my church bubble I'd ever had. Now, almost 3 years later, I'd say that I'm an Agnostic. I know, that's such a cop-out term.

I do still have my days where I'm all alone, and I look up and wonder, and praying still brings me peace. But I'm a pretty firm believer that you follow the religion of your demographic, or geographical area, and that there can be no absolute truth in religion.

Looking at our world now, I think it would be far better off with out religion. Not to say that it hasn't ever brought good, but It's brought alot of evil. The day we as a race can be good to each other apart from a religion, or at least despite it, will be the most beautiful day in human history.

Edit: I just realized some of that may be offensive to some. I certainly meant no offense, I have respect for the peaceful in all religions, and enjoy learning about the different customs of each one.

IMO, Jesus offered up his life to our Father to save our souls. If its good enough for Jesus its good enough for me.

OK, the longer most of you live and the more good things you do for others the more rewards you will realize, if not here on earth then in heaven. I see this occurance almost everyday. Just open your eyes. When I have a difficule task I pray for help. It doesn't hurt to ask. You would be amazed at how often you get what you need.....seemingly....out of nowhere. But I know there are higher powers that will intervene when needed....most of the time. I could tell you story after story to prove this happens at least in my life. Praise the Lord.

I believe there is one God....with many faces for different people and cultures.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
