Understand, I am not saying the current two party system isn't just the illusion of control that has the deck stacked against us. I am just saying that elaborate conspiracy theories of mind control and new world order fail the Occam's razor test. And if you really looked at them objectively you would see the same. If the goal was to use a mind control substance on the populous there would be better ways to do it.

I am just saying that elaborate conspiracy theories of mind control and new world order fail the Occam's razor test. And if you really looked at them objectively you would see the same. I kinda understand your resistance but your reasoning is flawed if it's that we aren't being sedated and medicated. Maybe not you but have you seen the amounts of pharmaceuticals that people take now a days. It would be way easy to either slip stuff in or allow drugs thru that do your bidding. And don't give me the FDA has standards BS. I would assume we all know that Big Pharma is just looking for the cash and if only the upper echelon and the Government have this control it would not be a stretch to dose people. I know from hanging with you for years that your big on scientific method and peer review. Show me one good instance that any drug hitting the market is going thru a peer review or even that the so called sodium they are putting in the water isn't a heavy metal which is proven to make people complacent or lethargic or the fact that TV is programmed to put people into a trance like state. These are all avenues that they can use to dumb down the public. Remember the term Boob Tube? It has been wiped from the lexicon as well as Idiot Box. There at one time was a bit of instinctive feel to people about these things but people got fat and happy and stopped feeling what instincts are. It's a hard thing to accept and in the beginning of anybodies awakening to change the way we perceive things but if you are like me one day it will just click......

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I will say that over the last 6 months I have mostly cut out listening to the radio, stopped watching TV (OK, maybe one or two shows a week :P) and spend a large percent of my time out riding my bike and out exploring taking pictures. I shut out talk radio completely and am focused on eating as natural as possible.

Here is the result:

In 6 months, 45 pounds lost. Incredibly lower stress level. A fitness level that isn't an embarrassment and a much better relationship with my wife and kids.

I'm not convinced that it is a government conspiracy though. I do think that the impossibly large drive for more and more profits drives companies to make decisions that are bad for the population as a whole. Unfortunately when you combine that with a little bit of crazy (And who isn't a bit crazy before anyone flies off the handle), you get a perfectly possible, if not interesting conspiracy theories :P

Think of it as an increasing trend line instead of a conspiracy. Abusive practices and profit driven choices become more common and therefore are more obvious to the regular citizen.

People making a choice out of malaise for something that is mind numbing is hardly a conspiracy theory. Personally I don't tend to get my information from corporate media and I research very carefully my medical options for anything that will be in my body. Kind of a health nut since quitting smoking and I take a great deal of care how I treat my body. Cook my own food, eat very healthy, hit the gym 3 times a week religiously using my HIT style program I have developed for myself. etc...
