Toilet Water Cleaner Than Ice At Fast Food Joints

A Florida student found that the ice at fast food restaurants is actually dirtier than the toilet water at the same establishment.
The student, 12-year-old Jasmine Roberts, hypothesized that the ice at fast food joints was probably dirtier than the toilets.
So she went to five fast food restaurants and collected samples.
She ordered cups of ice and put them in sterile beakers. She also went into bathrooms, flushed the toilet once, and collected a sample.
    The findings were pretty disturbing.

Wait so she flushed the toilet and fresh water ran into the bowl and she took a sample. Well no wonder it was cleaner it was straight out the supply into what I gather was a rather clean bowl. As a matter of fact these restaurants should be commended for keeping their Bathrooms clean.... Jesus what they won't pass for news nowadays.

That was the first thing (besides the heat) that I noticed when I moved from Oregon to Florida. The water tasted terrible. We bought a filter and basically filtered all the water we planned on drinking.

This is actually pretty interesting... Not surprising, but interesting.
Also; how does your Ice for drinks get dirty? Don't they clean the Ice Machine?

Stuff get's trapped or grows with more plumbing would be my guess? Had a aquarium I did not clean for months and recall the green algae grew through the airline almost into the pump. Florida just overall smells like a dirty aquarium to me but I still love to visit there.
