Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures! the cat did not mind it so much, but the wife is going to have to rip the tape back off! Sideways rain and gusts to fourty, the storm is 300 miles away! The storm will come directly overhead at some point. Hard cider is helping me cope.

You guys stay safe up there. All we have down here is blowing snow and cold as hell. Looks like we may not get too much of this in my little corner of VA.

Considering the situation is grim and this is tough, I still have to admit - This is possibly the single funniest thing I've ever heard anyone do during a hurricane. Might be because I hate cats... But still amazing!

Also keep safe, for the love of god, this place wouldn't be same with you guys having been blasted away.

Edit : Also, Whalen, your post is going on my Facebook.

Whalens power must be down or else he's drunk and buried under all his stuff. That would make interesting pickings for the rescue workers....a cat duct taped to a door, a frog on his head and a gay fleshlight in his right hand.

                Stay safe.

I hope you guys near the coast are okay. I'm a damn long way from it and we're getting some pretty extreme wind and a little rain. Farther east it's snowing. I think it's safe to say that my fairly heavy trash bin is on the other side of town. Here's a live stream of the coverage:

I just read that 26 nuclear power plants are in the path of the hurricane. I hope they all shut down safely.

About 70 MPH GUSTS. No power, taped a mouse to the door for the cat. Froggy passed out.

The heavy rain just shifted over to pretty heavy wet snow, so we'll see how long the power here lasts, lol.
