Here's an electoral map by politico that is updated every couple minutes. Also it seems they aren't calling stuff willy nilly like all the other reports. http://www.politico.com/2012-electio...resident/2012/

Nice Map! It really gives a detailed state by state breakdown.

Yeah it's pretty telling when you look at the votes by county and or population. It's the major population centers where there are more welfare recipients that go blue which actually are smaller in real estate. Then you have the more open areas with less population go red. I've lost all faith in the Process and the people at this point. I couldn't have cared less who one out of these 2 but I'm glad I've been prepping my food supply and live far enough from the city because one of these days the shithouse is gonna burn.....

It doesn't take being a welfare recipient or beneficiary of social programs to make a population center "go blue", Blue. For real though. Just calling that out, nothing more.

edit: but the rural/urban divide is fascinating, I'll give you that. This forum happens to be very well represented by the former. Again, just an interesting observation to me.

edit2: and no surprise being a smokeless tobacco forum! right?

Congratulations Crow -looks like your measure is passing by a wide margin. Perhaps we should all visit Seattle next summer and take advantage of the new law.

Roo- I said more people not all people are welfare recipients. The fact is that around 50% of people are on some type of government assistance. The party that promises that assistance will continue is going to win. It's human nature. And will continue to be as we race to the bottom. Most people don't vote on real issues they are all issues on what are you gonna do for me. Government workers and pensions, seniors on SS, People on food stamps and on and on. It is all unsustainable. As soon as the dollar is no longer the worlds reserve currency we will all be screwed.

How is that true with respect to 8 out of the past 12 years? I do actually agree with your general sentiment, not expressed here, that it doesn't matter who wins, it's all the same ****ing shit. But how can you say that the "other" party that won between 2000 and 2008 was promising welfare-type assistance, and therefore won? That is not true.
