Well in 2000 Gore actually one the popular vote. 2004 was an incumbent "wartime" president in a wartime economy that was for the most part clicking along at a good pace that was gonna win no matter what. I really don't care I was just pointing out a reality which you acknowledged that was that major population centers which are by default going to have more people on the dole is where the dems win. I wish they had a map like that one that would show red versus blue like that one does but on a National scale without it being red or blue in totality but red and blue by county.

As depressing as it seems to many with another 4 years of the last 4 years you have to realize that there really was no real hope in the other outcome either. The corporate influence will never allow anybody in who does not cater to their needs. The few that try as you have seen get pushed out of the way with ease and contempt. At a local level you still have some power but the Fed grows every day and could crush anything that also is not in the big business interest. Comrade 1 or Comrade 2 of the one party system. It gets more blatantly obvious with each election.
