Hard-Wired Keystroke Loggers Installed in ALL NEW LAPTOPS -since 2005

    wtf

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I work on computers a lot, so I did a little digging. I found this. I've never seen anything like that inside a laptop, and if there was anything, I doubt it would be hardware. It would more than likely be software inside BIOS.

One thing to think about though, is this: LoJack has a secret tech they use for tracking down stolen computers. They might be using something like this, idk.

Sounds like nonsense to me. I've done a couple complete teardowns of laptops purchased since 2005, and saw no such thing. Those include Asus, Compaq, and Dell. The government IS taking all your data, but they're doing it through email, social networking, and general web chatter. It's the NSA that's doing all the domestic spying.

Imagine all of the "X" keys that would be logged.

Now you have to forward the hoax link to 12 people in the next 60 minutes or you will become infirm.

Well, if the Easter Bunny says so, I believe it. Obviously the people responsible are from Niribu in preparation for the planet crashing into the earth in 3 weeks.

dam.......now that I think about this a bit I seem to remember hearing this a few years ago. Kinda like the government putting a shut off device and GPS tech in your cars computer. [not sure if thats true either].

I recieved the link in my first post from my doctor. Apparently, he believes everything he sees on the interwebs.....and hates Obama. I get at least 6 emails from him everyday with this kind of shit.

The GPS tech is partly true. If you have a fairly new GM car with OnStar, you have it.

The thing is, it isn't "the government" installing tech to track people. They're utilizing tech from the private sector. Cell phones are especially bad news. They show where you go, who you talked to, and what you said. They're tracking devices that let you make calls. They also don't need a warrant to get the data. They only have to ask nicely. They're using license plate scanners on the road, and soon drones in the sky. 1984 came a little late, but it's finally here, and will only get worse.

Bottom line... don't do anything bad.

Define "bad". Bad might be political speech, or supporting press the government doesn't agree with. The government has no right to the data, and shouldn't be collecting it.

True enough. Bad is different things to different people. To me, anyone with an Android phone would definitely be suspect

I'm not the biggest fan of Android myself, but it's the best of a bad set of options :^)
