My dear wife of 25 years passed away peacefully in her sleep, mercifully at home, on Dec. 4. After many years of increasing pain, illness, and debility she did finally go gently into that good night. Whether her destination was the afterlife or oblivion she is in a better place. I, am not. Grief is the assassin of rationality and its tears the solvent of reason.
My condolences Darwin. I like your last sentence. Insightful, and well stated.

carry on my friends
My condolences PP. Losing a parent's tough. My mother's getting pretty old, and doesn't have /that/ much more time left. Aside from my cats and my daughter, she's the only one that really gives a shit about me. That's gonna suck losing 25% of my fan club.

Dear LX, you have a great fan club here at SnusOn. Surely, you are are the reason half of us are still here.
Yea, its tough losing a mother but when you think about all the good things shes done and all the crap she [probably] put up with raising her kids AND if she goes without pain.....you will find that its just a bit easier to deal with than you might think. Just remember to keep telling her that you love her.
@ BigBlue....peace brother.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

My condolences to all of you who have lost a loved one. It's a terrible feeling - I feel thankful that I haven't lost anyone in a long time but the family has already adjusted to the fact that my Grandma(basically the matriarch of the family) is about to kick it. And so is my father's parents - Not looking forward to it, but no bother worrying about it yet.
