The transgendered thing is seen differently by different cultures. As was mentioned certain Native American tribes accepted it, as in gave the transgendered male his own house and the right to pursue a husband. Other Native American tribes considered them to be warlocks and up to no good and treated them as bad as any Judeo-Christian culture would have. In very macho cultures like the Norse, homo-sex wasn't considered all that wrong (provided you were pitching and not catching) but cross dressing was a huge taboo.

I think it isn't anything I would want to do as I am a pretty average guy, but to each his/her own.

That said, don't cry to me if someone else treats you like you are strange if you ARE strange. No one should be forced to put up with stuff that makes them uncomfortable (assuming they are on their own property).

Things like this have had no baring on my life if I was told the story of the persons experience, I would find it intriguing, and add the story to my knowledge on humanity.

My best friend is transgendered -- or perhaps intersexed, depending on how you define those terms. She thinks of herself as transgendered. I knew her for several years prior to the change in her identity from male to female, and quite a few years since. I still find myself confused by her behavior and perspective sometimes, and occasionally use the wrong pronoun to describe her (easy to do, since she usually dresses as a man). Nevertheless, she's the same person she always was, and my friendship with her has nothing to do with her gender status.

Your reaction to someone outside the norm says much more about how you are controlled by preconceived ideas (or lack of them), than it does about the person to which you are reacting.

The same thing I would do if I encountered any other person. Years ago it would have bothered me, but I've grown to just accept people as they are. Doesn't bother me at all.

                            I'd be curious as hell.

I couldn't even tell ya that I'd be more or less curious whichever way the change was made. Either way, I don't think it would have enough testosterone to kick my ass and rape me so that being said I'm curious. Obviously I don't know any of these people. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not saying I'd wanna get down with that 'cos it's too different for me to wrap my head around. I'd want to talk to the person. First I'd have to decide if they're a person I'd like to talk to...as a person. Nothing sexual involved here. There are plenty of both men and women that we enjoy talking to and plenty that we don't. True something might not have been set up right in their development but so what? I know plenty of perfectly normal, straight people that are complete imbeciles in my book.

If they were a cool person, for the gawk factor I'd want to have a look. They'd obviously be proud of their creation. I've only seen one pic online of a ball sack turned into a vag. It looked dumb. wicked dumb. The doctors seemed to get the rest of the body right though. Some people can really pull it off aesthetically. Like I said, I'm not sure I'd touch it but why not have a look? People are afraid of the silliest things. I've even like to see a chick with a makeshift dick. If she was all muscular and ripped I'd be less curious but again for the goof factor. Look, Sgregr said it: Dicks are the dumbest looking things anyhow. I'd like to see how someone could build one though. I've not seen a pic of that online yet but it can't be good. Even if they could build it anatomical correct and get it rock hard I still don't think they can get the nerves right so what's it worth?

There you have it. So long as I don't feel physically threatened I want to meet as many different kinds of people as I can before I die. Think of the stories you'd have.
