    Depends Ansel.

We vacation at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida every year for the past 13 years and have gotten the travel insurance thru WDW Travel each time we go. It's worth it because if something goes wrong, like you get sick or something happens where you have to cut your trip short, you get a refund on the unused part of the trip. It also takes care of medical, lost luggage, broken souvenirs, and lost phone replacement. Mind you, that's Disney Travel and it's second to none. But most travel insurance thru a travel agent works the same, just may not cover trinkets or phones like Disney does. :-)

    hope this helps.

Not to derail, but the next time you're there, you have to go to Sosa Family Cigar co. Have them hand roll you a cigar. Good stuff.

For me and my wife to travel in the states with insurance from my bank it cost $36 together. We sky dive and like to do kinda "risky" things when we travel. Just a busted arm or let can set you back several thousand in those parts. Haven't had to use it but gives peace of mind.

We do and they are really good! They now have a cigar bar in the Pleasure Island part of Downtown Disney. My wife hates it because while they roll the cigar, I'll talk to them about snus. They're really a nice family and have some deep roots in the Florida cigar arena. ;-)

I do have it as we travel abroad quite a lot, and I have had stuff go missing, huge delays, phones lost etc. Also when skiing its essential as I have had an accident and needed to get back to the UK, would have cost a fortune if I didn't have travel insurance.

Hmm, it doesn't sound like a need it then.

I disagree, esp if you're going to somewhere like Nepal, a friend of mine slipped and broke her leg when we were trecking in the himalayas, travel insurance was a Godsend as it covered the hospital bills and flights back home. I had some stuff stolen in Nepal too and travel ins covered it, lost my passport too. Its a lifeline if something does go wrong and its hardly expensive, my annual mutlitrip is about £50 but single trip is about £10 just shop around, Virgin Money are good thats who I have mine with.

Yeah dude, get travel insurance if you're going to Nepal lol. If you were in a serious accident and needed immediate and quality medical care in a neighboring country, do you know how much it costs for a medical evacuation flight? Upwards of $250,000. That alone is worth it. You also might get sick as shit and need to visit hospitals. I've been in that position, a little too frequently I regret to say lol. I know a thing or two about Chinese hospitals. Anyway a cheapish policy shouldn't be that much... hundred quid? Or less? My company sells travel insurance but that's not my area and I am obviously trying to shirk my work duties at the moment
