    FDA Going After eCigarettes

The FDA has announced that it intends to propose "deeming" regulation by April 2013 (to apply Chapter IX of FSPTCA to e-cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, shisha/hookah and other tobacco products not currently subject to Chapter IX regulations) "and to specifiy additional restrictions."
What does this mean for you?

Sections 905 and 910 would ban all e-cigarettes, and other provisions of Chapter IX would also decimate the e-cigarette industry, protect cigarette markets and otherwise threaten public health.

If this action does not completely destroy the industry on it's own this would be the first step in an all out attack on your ability to use electronic cigarettes. A ban on internet sales and significant taxes would almost surely follow.

This is the most significant threat to our right to vape here in the US since electronic cigarettes were introduced.

    What can you do?
    1. Become a member of CASAA (The Consumer Advocates For Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) - HERE . CASAA is the voice of the vaping community at the numerous public hearings and meetings that have been held with the FDA.
    2. Sign this petition - HERE

It will take 120 seconds to sign this petition. Currently we need over 12,000 more signatures to push this issue in front of the president.
