Nothing scares me except brussel sprouts, purely because I can't eat them without gagging. This is actually a recongnised medical condition so imagine my pleasure at informing my parents I was never being difficult as a child

Nope, I genuinely cannot eat them, I can't eat anything with phenylalanine in or I could choke to death.

No worries, I get that a lot, its not a common condition, I need to be careful what I eat as if the PAL levels get too high they get toxic. Its easy enough to manage but sprouts have very high levels of it so the instant reaction is to gag.

I know what you mean, its an acquired taste goats cheese, but, done right, can be lovely.
