I have learnt something though .... it would be much easier to be a hard-line dogmatic right-winger - I can't believe how easy it is to spout intolerance and selfish thoughts ... at least it wouldn't be hard if it didn't make me physically sick! Empathy for others and level-headed thought is a lot harder than just spouting what you think without actually thinking about it properly.
