    Going cold turkey on Saturday

This Saturday I am leaving a city to start summer holidays. The real difference apart from more physical exercise, better air, translating books in the greenery of a semi-forested area above a God-forgotten old spa village and lots of fun for the kids is that I will have no Internet connection of my own for some 6 weeks. This usually boosts my productivity in an unusual way (I do about the same amount of work as usual, but spend most of the days with kids, friends, redneck relatives, etc.) and helps me kick some of my worst habits like browsing all day instead of working

I wish you all a nice summer. Feel free to hijack this thread with talk about other addictions and, eventually, the unavoidable fleshlights.

I did no Internet for 2 years. No tv either. Well, I did do Internet when I got to a computer sometimes. Watched a few DVDs. I ended up swimming everyday almost and killing time in the sauna other than my usual activities and reading. I still read and still no tv. It's hard at first but you'll be somewhere doing something that lends itself to it more. Sounds Awesome!

The internet is a blessing and a curse.

It would be awesome to have no internet for a while. I think I would go crazy, but it would certainly do me good. Might try it myself soon in the future. Good luck!

By the way.......what will you be translating?
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

                      Rut Ro!

Hey I can help with some key translations! I believe it was Walden who said " Don't make me come over there and break my foot off in yer Arse" or something to that effect!

Hard to believe, I know, but I still insist there is method to my madness... Whalen - or my Indian name Yo Goblowme which means "whispers with frogs"..... or.... "Dances with Snakes".

Hey go google "two girls one cup"! That will make not having the internet a "Good" thing. Warning, it may take 6 weeks minimum to unsee it...... if ever.....!

OR! Go post over at Chad and Nash's site, and in six weeks you can come back and there will still be no follow up posts! Just like you never left!

(I Know, but it is funny!)
