    Any red wine drinkers?

    Hey guys,

I recently incorporated drinking a glass of red wine in the evening into my health (and pleasure!) routine.

Anyone else enjoy a glass of red vino to wind down and (in moderation) do a gazillion good things for your body? I'm currently drinking a rather pleasant Cabernet.

Here's to the 'French Paradox' and resveratrol! Cheers!

Never got into wine. I'd rather have whisky or beer. If I bu wine, I buy from local vintners. We have decent, if not world class wines, and it keeps the money local. I'm ok with less than perfect for wine.

I'm all for spending locally, it's just that England doesn't really have the climate for GREAT wine, let alone world class wine. I might have a dabble though at some point, we have a couple of vineyards local to us.

Yep, love me a bit of wine, red or white.

Current fave is a Jacktone Ranch 2011 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, from California.

Also partial to Pinot Noir (South African ones are good) and Malbec (Argentinian ones the best, imo) Aussie Shiraz is a winner too.

          Hell, I like it all

I only drink Dago Red or near impostors. 50% Muscatle and 50% White Zinfandel grapes is the proper formula. Must be aged at least one year.

I'm a beer drinker but I do like a glass of red wine now and again. We have some pretty decent wines made here around the lower great lakes and I usually drink them.

Love Malbecs! The argie ones are great. For pinot noir can't beat New Zealand IMO.

Yeah, NZ are great too - Try and hunt down a Waipara West Pinot Noir. Fricking gorgeous.

Camenarie is one of my all time favs, the Casillero del Diablo one is to die for!

Will have a lookski, off to Scatchards tomorrow to purchase my wimbledon wine, if they can't get hold of it, it probably doesn't exist!

Parents are surrounded by wineries where they live in virginia. Really love all the reds they bring me and i sample while out there. They have great whites too. If im just going and buying a bottle from the store though its not nearly as good. Theres a good little red wine I find at the local jewel-osco called 'once upon a vine' as well as the big glass jugs with the roman looking guy on it (cant think of what its called now) makes a great merlot

I'm not much on wine drinking, but I've been looking for a red wine that I like. My wife likes wine, but I've not found one that I enjoy. That being said, I'd love to find one I love so that I can have a couple glasses a day for my health. I drink good amounts of bourbon and scotch, and really enjoy it, but it's not good for your heart, lol
