Didn't eat much traditional Finnish food when I was there, but I did have a reindeer steak, which was gorgeous. I also ate reindeer pizza, which was less gorgeous.

In terms of alcohol consumption, the Finns certainly give the Brits and Irish a run for our money. I suspect the long winters and reindeer pizza have something to do with this.

Poronkäristys is really good too. "Sautéed reindeer" in English.
Our version is so much better than the Swedish one.. take my word for it :^D

Karhu is pretty good. I'm not much of an beer drinker anymore. Karhu, Koff and Sandels where my favorites.
Have you tasted "Jaloviina" or "Fisu" or "Salmiakkikossu" etc.?

Not sure. It was a few years ago, and I did try lots of different beers, but can't recall the names.

I was there in November so my overriding memory is how grey and gloomy everything was. Would quite like to go again in Summer.

Jaloviina, Fisu and Salmiakkikossu are actually boozes, my bad, didn't type that clearly enough.
Winter is nice too, everything is beautiful when there's a lot of snow everywhere (to me at least)
But when it starts to get -30 Celsius it starts to suck

What did you think about it? Personally I don't like it too much.
I had a Dutch friend visit once, he laughed and said Olvi tastes like water. :P

Sounds a lot like "Natural Lite". This stuff tasted a lot like malted water lol.

Not sure I can answer this well. I mean I have not been too a lot of other countries so my knowledge of their cuisine really comes from what is available in America. I mean one thing I can say is I don't like most Thai food, except Sriracha sauce, but still although I like spicy food Thai food just has a flavor profile I don't like.

Someone mentioned Korean food. I love Korean food, lots of Garlic. Kimchi is a favorite as well.

Looking around me though, sometimes I think the country with the worst food is American food. Yeah we have so much of it, but there is so much over processed transfat and sugar laden crap, we hardly eat real food anymore unless you really work at it...
