Grew up with East Euro/Germanic/Russian cuisine. A lot of women with a lot of personal recipes that continues today.
Great filler food but other then familiar horseradish/mustard there is not a lot of heat.

I really enjoy Mexican and Thai for this reason.

I will add a mention, I always found Hatian cuisine quite good, it can be scary looking but tastes good. Granted I have never been to Haiti...

Thai food for me all the way. Pad Thai I could eat every day. Tom Yum Goong is the best soup I've ever had. Papaya Salad. I love the blending of hot, sour, and sweet.

Can't decide between Indian and Thai.

                Thai at a pinch.

I like Indian and Italian food. But not a fan of Thai.

                          mmm paella...

and real tortilla, not the chips, the dish that I guess would be most similar to I guess what the Italians call a fritatta.

My wife cooks the best tortilla I´ve ever tasted! and albondigas too. The authentic paella is my speciality

Well, is not too long, about 3.5 hours driving, and in September the weather is still very nice, so you can have beach and paella!
