Gallup: Fox Is America's Main Source For News

This will REALLY make liberal heads explode!
A Gallup poll released moments ago found more Americans consider Fox News their main source for news than any other news outlet in the nation:
Television is the main place Americans say they turn to for news about current events (55%), leading the Internet, at 21%. Nine percent say newspapers or other print publications are their main news source, followed by radio, at 6%.
And who came in first amongst television news providers?

Fox is considered the number one news source by eight percent of respondents. CNN was second at seven percent.

Meanwhile, look at ABC, MNSBC, NBC, and PBS with only one percent, and CBS below that.
As far as other media, eighteen percent of respondents said "Internet/Computer/Online (non-specific)."
Only six percent said newspapers with the New York Times getting only one percent.
Yes, eight times as many respondents declared Fox News as their main source of information as compared to the Times.
This is true of NPR which also garnered only one percent.
Liberal heads are going to spin!

Angry Mother of Twins Throws Flaming Diapers at Late Night Firework Shooters

RockCitytimes ^ Police were called to a Hillcrest neighborhood early this morning when neighbors reported that a local mom of twins began throwing flaming dirty diapers at a group of people setting off fireworks.
The woman, Ernie Orsborn, became angry over fireworks going off in her neighborhood while her two young children were trying to sleep. Records show repeated calls to 311 reporting the firework violators between 8:30p.m. and 1 a.m.
Around 9:00 Orsborn posted to her twitter account: “I mean, if you like fireworks, go to Pops on the River and let us abstained sip our wine in peace as babies sleep.”
Witnesses tell us that sometime around 1:30 a.m. she decided to take measures into her own hands.
“I heard her yell, you want to see fireworks, here you go assholes,” a neighbor tells us. “Suddenly I see her holding a diaper bin and a lighter. She started pulling them out one by one and lobbing them over the fence at a group of drunk men shooting bottle rockets at each other. I sort of wanted to go help her throw them.”
None of the individuals shooting the fireworks sustained any injuries, although several did have large amounts of child fecal matter on their faces. Police say that the men promptly put away the fireworks and apologized to the angry mother. None of the men are pressing charges according to police.
As of this morning several bottles of wine, fresh fruit, and pastries have been set outside Orsborn’s house. Neighbors additionally tell us the men in question have spent much of the morning quietly washing Orsborn’s car, weeding her flowers beds, and pruning her rose bushes while their wives and girlfriends watch from across the street.

Most TV news in the states is really shitty, it is meant to entertain, not inform, in most cases. Fox news has the distinguishing feature of being the most blatant with regards to Right wing bias. And by right wing I mean Republican with maybe a touch of tea party, not Libertarian or John Birch Society level of right wing alignment.

My son hates Fox news. I love that man. So Cal. Isn't So Cal great? I miss So Cal. Oregon is more right wing and there are some brilliant minds in Oregon so it just doesn't make sense to me at all! It's cultural more than political sometimes

Oh dear... A whopping 8 percent against 92% percent who get their news sources elsewhere (47% of which are other TV-based sources).

FOX News is not a news channel (just as MSNBC is not a news channel). They're both pundit channels sprinkled with current events; nothing more, nothing less.

I enjoy watching MSNBC, but it's not my sole (or primary) source, and I'm well-aware what I'm watching is not news (per se). To me, it's entertainment.

Oregon is still pretty liberal [even if you're not as 'liberal' as us]...

Remember, your state was the first to legalise assisted suicide (Oregon Death with Dignity Act; 1994)... We followed in 2008 (Washington Death with Dignity Act; 2008).

While we may have beat you lot to the punch regarding legalised cannabis; Oregon's legalisation is inevitable. Our policies eventually go hand-in-hand.

I find more substance on The Daily Show and Colbert than Fox News or MSNBC. At least they let their guests finish a sentence.

Yeah, like MSNBC/FOX; those shows are political entertainment, but they're lighthearted political shows without a strong/harsh bias.

Real Time would be another fine example. Except one could argue that the show has a stronger/harsher bias, it's still lighthearted and entertaining.

They are political entertainment while being honest about being political entertainment. The others are political entertainment trying to disguise themselves as journalism.

If you really listen you can can hear your friends, family and neighbors recite the talking points from these broadcasts.

I do it myself. It's amazing the strength and influence of news propaganda. If anything they are just better at it then what you would call a axis of evil country.

You won't WANT to see Fox.
Sweet Home has less than 10 thousand people here and they are rednecks, hunters, fishermen, welfare and old people mainly. Now that's fine because I've learned that Oregon rednecks, hunters, fishermen and welfare people are all a milder version than California same but they just aren't a progressive group and old people resist change typically.
Well anyway I'm not political anymore. I haven't watched TV in about 6 years due to such stations as Fox and upsetting or depressing crap all over the place on TV. I thought it was my mind set but you know what? It's all crap you guys. Just drivel
