Forensic expert: Trayvon Martin shot leaning over George Zimmerman

Forensic expert: Trayvon Martin shot leaning over George Zimmerman

    http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/n...,6005164.story

I believe the prosecution has lost it's case but a all female jury and Trayvon relatives in the courtroom spewing emotion does not help him.
He had a legal right to carry and the right to walk the sidewalk. After being attacked and fearing for his own life he fired within the struggle.
End of story in my eyes.

This is exciting and I will be popping a general original portion in over lunch.

How many portions will it take before a verdict is reached?

ummm.......that was zimmermans story. Travon didn't survive to tell his side. The evidence is muddied so its hard to say what really happened.
I'm not taking sides on this one. We'll have to leave it up to the jury and hope to hell they get it right.

I wonder what Zimmerman is wearing now.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

BTW.... Trayvon Martin was no little boy or kid as the prosecution portrayed him to be and still does.. He was a little thug or should I say just a thug....

        George Zimmerman Was Justified...Period!

Haven't followed the case at all. Nor was I totally up to speed when it first happened.
If he was attacked by trayvon then he should absolutely be not guilty. Even if if in fact did something stupid like follow someone when he shouldn't have.
From the tid-bits of information I see about this I just sit here and wonder why they keep showing pictures of him from what appears to be atleast 8 years ago, or why they keep trying to turn this into a "white guy killed black guy" case when Zimmerman is mexican.

yea all I really get is tidbits as well. Jag lived in Fl so I imagine he would have the best opinion.

From what I know I wouldn't want to be part of the jury on this one. I'd have to flip a coin.

Just media sensationalizing things, and trying to race bait to get a story.

Zimmerman is white (and Peruvian, not Mexican)...

Anyways, it will be interesting to find out where the verdict stands, and hopefully it will bring closure to this incident.

I think it was a justified shooting. I predict that he will be found 'not guilty' and then the public outcry will be so great that someone will murder the poor guy.

Yes shooting an unarmed kid to death is usually justifiable.

It is when you are being beaten by him. I don't care what anyone says. If you have a gun and are being attacked you are going to shoot them. It is not a situation where you will be thinking clearly on what is the perfect outcome. Sure he could have shot him in the arm or leg or foot but i would imagine aiming a gun in an intense moment like that is not easy.

I'm sure Trayvon was not 100% black. In cases like this your race is whatever is needed for the media circus you're trying to create. In this case they use one of zimmermans parents being white (im guessing) as a stance to say white guy killed black guy. Had Trayvon been white it would have been hispanic guy killed white guy. Had Trayvon been 1% asian it would have been hispanics targeting asians over a turf war. It's why i refuse to follow this case closely or any other case like it. You don't know the facts or what is REALLY going on until you see everything played out. I can only imagine how many people still think Trayvon was an 11 year old because thats all the pictures they showed of him.

There's a lot of bullshit floating around. I haven't been following the case *at all*, but I groaned when they released the "thug" pics of Trayvon. That could be any kid, of any color in the US. A teen that smokes weed, and has an illegal item(pistol) that he thinks makes him look cool. He may have been a piece of shit, but those pics provide zero evidence one way or the other.

Really? So, it is OK if I follow some kid, even after the police told me not to, get into a fight with him after he notices me following him and then shoot him? That is what the problem is with this country. It isn't guns. It's the gun owners that think they have the right to shoot someone even when their own life isn't being threatened.

Several break-ins have been happening around your area. You live in a pretty small isolated place (i believe there are 3 streets there? if i remember hearing about it correctly) Someone you don't recognize (remember there are 3 streets) is walking around in what is definitely not ideal walking conditions. If he took his "neighborhood watch" duty too extreme is up for speculation. Imagine being in that situation. Recent break-ins,unknown person in a community where everyone should be known, this person is walking around. What if he is infact one of the people breaking into these houses recently, imagine he kills someone during that robbery....you did nothing.

Should Trayvon Martin still be alive? Yes. He should not have been shot and things should not have escalated as they did. They were both stupid one for pursuing when told not to, the other attacked because he was being followed. Although its kind of shitty to be pursued like that he could have simply stated where he was going who he knew there and been on his way. I was pulled over in the small gated community where my parents live for driving their car. Policeman in the area saw me in their car and did not know they had children living out of state. He pulled me over. I showed him my ID stated who my parents were where they lived the other cars they had where they worked etc. It was no big deal, of course that police officer should have been suspicious since he knew my parents and what they drove. The 2 minutes he took to make sure I didn't steal their car was a lifetime of guilt he saved himself had i stolen it. I could have thrown a fit and said I was "profiled" and all kinds of shit but all i had to do was take 2 minutes of my time to clear the suspicion.

So no GoVegan I do not think it was "OK" that he was murdured. I do see it as the result of 2 idiots being idiots. He should not have pursued, and the other should not have attacked. Instead of seeing this case as "I can't believe racism and stereotyping still exists in todays society" The news outlets could have reported the case for what it was. Instead of editing the part out where the police asked him"what race is he" and simply having him say "this guys black" they could have avoided much of the racism part that doesnt appear to have existed in this case. This whole case was marred and still is with incorrect facts like it was the day it happened. Trayvon is 11, Zimmerman is a racist white supremacist, Trayvon was a thug with a criminal record, Zimmerman has been diagnosed as insane. The whole case is this shit storm of these facts that are not true. Instead of news outlets saying, this guy shot the other, the circumstances are very circumstantial, they took this whole race vs race thing to a new level creating a media shit storm.
