Girl performs sex act on boy... Photo goes viral

She's a 'slut'. Boy's a 'hero'. What should we do?

If social media sites target teenagers to join in the first place, why should they not be held accountable when they are used as vehicles for malice, asks Charlotte Lytton.
Why did photos of a teenage girl performing oral sex on a boy in a field become the second worldwide trending topic on Twitter on Monday? And why were there endless jokes, insults and disapprobation slung her way, and not at the boy concerned?
The incident happened during an Eminem concert at Slane Castle in Ireland. And immediately the girl was branded a slut online with hashtags: 'slanegirl' and 'slaneslut' fast becoming trends.
When it comes to online safety, social media is repeatedly and unrepentantly failing teenagers. ...

A teenage girl giving someone a bl-w job is not shocking – standing by and taking photos before posting them to millions of people is ...

Sometimes i wish social media was banned. I wish we lived in a more controlling society. Where the government made more responsible financial decisions, kept to itself, and banned social media, gossip magazines, and reality tv.

Lol you caught me skllr. I just wish i lived in a less idiotic society. I wish people were more interested in learning or even just doing nothing rather than posting 9000 pictures to some shitty website, or talking about how honey boo boo just had quadruple bypass surgery. We are idolizing things that are so stupid and unimportant. Look at every reality TV star. Ask yourself why they are famous. It certainly isnt because they do something constructive. They are all paid, idolized, and worshiped for being complete idiots. The people that take the time to earn a degree....learn a new skill....research an idea, they are so far out of the "mainstream" loop that they take a glimpse back in and say wtf....people from new jersey being idiots.....obese people made famous....people who's father made a lot of money while they blow it.....how are these people famous?

I guess I just wish we had a government looking out for the overall interest of everyone. Something like a Scandinavian country being run by Putin. From the people I meet from Denwark/Norway/Sweden life sounds pretty easy going. The general question for law is are you hurting anybody? Ok carry on. Then i look at a country like Russia. They have closed their doors to middle eastern refugees. Sure 95% of these refugees need a place to go and be safe. The other 5% though make everyone's life hell. He will not allow them, if allowing them in is going to negatively impact his citizens there is no point in allowing them in.

I guess my sentence was misleading skllr. I guess what i was trying to say was that I was looking for something better. Where i could be entitled to the decision on if i want to use narcotics or not, and things of that nature. I guess I don't wish social media, gossip magazines, and reality tv were banned. I wish people would have ignored them when they appeared long enough for everyone to stop trying to create them. I guess I am just tired of people's stupidity. I've mentioned several times how i work at an insurance company. The number of people i talk to that have not made an on time payment in 2 years and then are trading in their 98 corolla for a 14 bmw is astounding. I feel bad when I am taking a late payment of 30 dollars for people because they are struggling. But I have an internal rage brew inside me every time someone trades it in for a more expensive car and their insurance also goes up by 300 dollars a month when they couldn't afford their current situation.

I hear ya. I don't think there's an easy answer. The lowest common denominator is an easy goal to achieve, so that's what many people go for. No one takes pride in personal achievement anymore. When I say personal, I mean very personal. Knowledge for it's own sake, and taking pride in the way one moves through life. The perfection of day to day activities that don't make you money, but give joy in doing things correctly, and by extension, making the lives of others who interact with you easier.

It's whole bunch of crap added up. Out of control capitalism of the non-free market type. Celebrity worship, laziness, entitlement, and general busibodiness, where people wallow in the sordid tales of others. That could be fixed to an extent by government, but the collateral damage would hurt more than the enforcement helped imo. I just want people to try harder, and realize that betterment doesn't come stamped on a paper from some school. It's what one achieves themselves.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

It really came to me a few weeks ago. I was flipping through a book of interesting facts. I came across some things about Da vinci and Einstein. Both were brilliant people no doubt. But Einstein was THE thing. And the best part of it wasn't that he was solving anything. He was just coming up with ideas to impossible questions that kind of made sense. There was a realistic probability that what he used as an explanation COULD be the answer. Da Vinci not so much until after his death but still. It just makes me sad really. These people were celebrities in their time. Ask someone to name 3 current scientists in any field and they will not say a word.

Electricity spread because of Tesla and Edison. Christianity spread because of Constantine's conversion. These are all things people can look back at far after the fact to determine what happened. I'd really like to be hundreds of years in the future where this shit doesnt go on anymore and just have a historian point out to me. THIS...THIS RIGHT HERE is where everything went to shit. Because of this. I'd like to take a look and just see what lowered the bar. What made cluelessness attractive. What made overly loud alcoholic people from new jersey something to idolize. When did it become common finance to get a 1000 dollar bonus and then go spend 5000 because of it and no one thinks its wrong. My future seems miserable knowing I have atleast 30 years in the workforce to go through with people of this mindset. I just wish someone would say....hey Iceland doesn't even know who Paris Hilton is....or Austria has 0 facebook users. It's just a sad situation. Even now. Countries are opening their doors to refugees and basically handing it over to them to have as their own. I'm not saying all of these refugees are terrorists or even 1% of them. But this mass influx of something different is tearing a social structure apart in these countries. Sweden's interesting socialist/free market hybrid worked incredibly well...until its population increased by 20% by people who have incredibly different values than them, all for some kind of political agenda. same with every other country that has been effected. Everyone wants to cry foul for not letting them in and then demand they leave as soon as the going gets tough.

Sorry for my rant snuson I've just been incredibly agitated lately.

I cannot see any rant. What you did say is 100% correct and just reflects reality as it is today in nearly all european countries.
