Kiev Man Finds Dog That Looks Like Putin

    The Moscow Times ^

A man in Ukraine has found a canine whose piercing gaze is strangely reminiscent of President Vladimir Putin's.
The dog, found in central Kiev and first reported by the website Obozrevatel.com, is thought to be a mix between a Staffordshire terrier and a German shepherd.
The canine even looks like it has dressed to be a head of state, as the white markings on its chest seem to form a furry tie.

    yea....they both have "pouty faces"

umm.....slow news day today Capt'n Bob?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

        Vladimir Putin, the Neo-Soviet Man

Putin is deeply committed to winning, to beating Obama like a rented mule, to diminishing the United States, exacting a little revenge for all America did to undermine the Soviet empire and for inviting former members of the Soviet bloc to join NATO after the fall of the Berlin Wall. As for the gassing of women and children by Bashar Assad, Russia’s friend and Iran’s loyal servant, I think Putin will leave it to bourgeois humanists to shed the salty tears. ....
There are those who believe that Putin is now acting like a statesman, riding to the rescue – shirtless, no doubt — thanks largely to the “credible threat of force” posed by an ambivalent American president who, Kerry vowed, was prepared to unleash an “unbelievably small” military strike once that was authorized by a Congress that seemed disinclined to do anything of the sort.
Putin is now “giving the president of the United States everything they asked for and more,” Representative Chris Van Hollen said on Fox last Sunday. “He helped deliver exactly what the United States wanted.” I would ask those who buy this thesis: Did you read Putin’s op-ed in the New York Times last week?
Putin begins by lamenting the “insufficient communication between our societies” — despite the fact that his ludicrously propagandistic television station, RT, is on just about every American’s cable system. (Larry King is among the featured personalities. Really, Larry? This is how you want to end your career?)
He then warns that a military strike by the U.S. against Assad would “unleash a new wave of terrorism.” In other words, should Assad’s state terrorism be punished, the response will be more terrorism ordered by Assad, his Iranian sponsors, or Hezbollah, Iran’s Lebanon-based terrorist proxy. Apparently, Putin has no problem with that.

Putin has one of the most bizarrely simple foreign policies imaginable. His policy in its entirety is: If the U.S. is for it then I'm against it. Period. It does at least make up for in consistency what it lacks in nuance. Plus being an ex KGB thug it bothers him not in the least to be the bosom buddy of every tinpot dictator and whack-job strongman on the planet if it serves to dismay the west in general and the U.S in particular. Real piece of work.

            Putin to McCain: Let's Talk

Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Sen. John McCain to Russia after he published a scathing attack on Putin in a Russian newspaper.
Putin says the Arizona Republican does not have an informed understanding of the country.
In an op-ed piece for Pravda on Thursday, McCain contends that Putin is a virtual dictator presiding over a "political system that is sustained by corruption and repression and isn't strong enough to tolerate dissent."
"The senator has his own outlook on things, but I think he still does not have enough information on our country," Putin said, responding to questions at the discussion club of Valdai, according to the news site Russia Behind the Headlines.
Putin invited McCain, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, to participate in the work of the discussion club in Valdai, which is a group of Russian intellectuals, politicians, and journalists that gathers annually and discusses the country's future.
McCain said in a tweet he'd be pleased to accept the invite should his schedule permit.
Putin says he'd like to see me at #Valdai Discussion Club- schedule permitting, I’d be pleased to accept the invite http://t.co/bGdo8qHMmH

McCain's article follows a Sept. 12 op-ed by Putin published in The New York Times that argued against a U.S. military response to the conflict in Syria.
