    Olympics

    Anyone following any events?

Do you think nicotine is a banned substance? I doubt any athletes smoke. Maybe some snus.

The live web-cast NBC has on their site is pretty cool. You can watch whatever you want live regardless what they choose to televise. You can even have four events open at the same time LIVE, pretty sweet.

There is a schedule of events on the site too. Really so much more going on than what is on TV. Even some sports I didn't realize were part of the games.

yeah. me and my wife have been following them on a daily basis.

Doubt nicotine is a banned substance to be honest.

Funny thing though as a lil bit of trivia.

Games that used to be olympic events back in the 20s and so on but are no longer part of them were.

Tug-of-War, Live Pigeon Shooting and one more i cant remember.

Be cool to watch some tug of war though lol.

I know PETA would have a hissy, but live-pigeon shooting in the old days was harder than you think. Not only did you have to hit the target, but you received points for the bird landing in a "target zone". Usually a circle marked with chalk or a fenced area. Wounded birds did not count.
Sorry, shooting history and firearms are one of my passions/hobbies.

Outside of the gymnastics, none of the other sports interest me. Now,if they start a NASCAR event....
