The whole notion of IQ is an interesting subject. If a score of 100 is considered average, then the U.S. is a bit below average with a score of 98.

The link claims to show an accurate representation of the average scores of various nations. The U.S. is somewhere in the middle. And don't call me Shirley.

Study: Poor children are now the majority in American public schools in South, West

            http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/...d=pm_local_pop

The 2008 recession, immigration and a high birthrate among low-income families have largely fueled the changes, said Steve Suitts, vice president of the Southern Education Foundation and an author of the study.

High birthrate among low-income families. I'm sorry, I don't know why noone ever says it or acts like it isnt something that should be said...but have people ever considered waiting to have children until they are financially ready? Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to give all of these people free birth control rather than giving them reduced lunches and the like? And people will always say well they've always wanted a child who are we to say they shouldn't have one? I always wanted a private island, I can guarantee I'd have to be financially stable first though.

they do give out free birth control at many clinics .. the problem is getting them to actually use it
