So the USA and UK can prance all over the world, invading sovereign countries to protect 'their interests' (a load of bo**ocks) but it seems the Russians cannot defend their national interests.
The Russians are allowed up to 25,000 troops in the Ukraine - they have 16,000 there presently. Nobody has killed anybody apart from the Ukranian police force. A huge amount of the population identifies with Russia. The 'deposed' fugitive president as far as Russia is concerned is still the President until he is impeached. Putin agrees that Yanukovych has no political future but the proper constitutional processes must be followed. President Putin: Ukraine should approve a new constitution through a referendum, but this is "none of our business", only Ukrainians can decide.
Why are the media and politicians feeding us a load of tripe against Russia?
For me, this is none of our business whatsoever and should stay well out of the way and my sympathies lie with the Ukraine and Russia - not with the Western politicians or media.
