The value of a college education...

Beer-Drinking Dog Pic Leads to Two Arrests
WIVB ^ | A SUNY Brockport student from West Seneca and a Genesee County man have been arrested for allegedly forcing a dog to be held upside down and drink beer.
Brockport Police report that Robert Yates, 20, took a photo of the dog being held over the beer keg and posted it to Twitter at a Saturday night house party. Officers also arrested Shane Oliver, 20, of Bergen. Both are facing charges of torturing/injuring animals.
The dog’s owner was apparently not involved.
The college issued a statement saying, “We were alarmed to learn of this disturbing photo. The College is investigating this matter and will take appropriate action once the details surrounding the photo are learned.”

Every additional second I spend in college is a nightmare. It is just a bunch of douche's saying douche things, wearing douche clothing, being douches. You are an outcast if you do not use the word "bro" atleast once every 3 words. When you don't know something that was on a test it was "bullshit" that it was on the test. It is totally acceptable to say you had no time to do something despite the fact you were seen at a bar for 10 hours one day. Everyone is under the assumption that they are the only person to ever enroll in college "Oh my god I have a test tomorrow then on saturday I have this thing to do then monday I have a test then Wednesday I have this assignment due, and blah and blah and blah.

If I am being honest I hate every single person I am forced to interact with every day while getting a degree so that employers will take me seriously. I have a great job putting up great numbers in my department, but if I want to advance I have to have a degree, that degree could be in molecular biology or women's studies, they just want to see a degree. Our education system is extremely flawed and should be completely revamped. I can't wait to move out of these "college apartments" in 2 months. It is pretty sad when a decent person has to move to what is essentially a retirement community to get some quiet while attending school. And upon my arrival I know that all of these people will view me as a potential noise disturbance because why would they think that this one person would be an acception to their experience with people my age living there.

I wish i was some 60 year old man. I hate people my age.

Well college kids will be college kids, self absorbed and very immature. Seems like a better college option for you being more mature would have been a commuter school, night classes or an online school.

I'm in the same boat as Thunder. I'm about to graduate in a year but it's been really annoying. Sitting in class with all of these bro's has really been a nightmare as well lol.

I just transferred my son to a local college because the partying was getting old and he wanted to actually study and get some sleep from time to time which was about impossible to do in college appts.
