Let’s say you live in a state without any form of medical marijuana, but, like most Americans, support marijuana reform, and maybe even legalization. And you own a dog. It’s more common than not–after all, dogs love grass too.
In California or Colorado, these dog-owners would have their pick of the dog-walking litter (and I speak from experience, as a former professional dog walker). Dogs in pro-cannabis states would be free to be walked by whom their owner chose.
But in a state like Missouri, unfortunately, supporting Mary Jane can cost your dog the walk of a lifetime. Literally. St. Louis based dog-walking industry maven “Pack Leader Plus Inc.” just terminated a client’s contract, all because of a pro-cannabis Facebook post.
Because it violates their standing as “devout Christians.” Yes, this is (still) real life:
It all started when Tricia Moyer, a mother of two and a Girl Scout troop leader, thought the idea of a thirteen-year-old with the business sense to sell delicious Thin Mints outside of a marijuana dispensary was funny. So she did what tens of thousands of other Americans did and shared a photo on Facebook.
Tricia didn’t realize that the owners of her dog-walking service – Pack Leader, Plus Inc. – are devout Christians who don’t believe there was anything funny about it at all.

It's not only humourous, but it's pretty damn clever. Crow approves of Girl Scouts selling cookies outside of dispensaries and the cannabis shops. It's a brilliant tactic being employed by the girls, and the money goes to a good cause. They're outside of the premises and they are not being exposed to cannabis in any shape or form.
It's no different than setting up shop outside a grocery store.
