Same here. Those type of migraine attacks are crippling. You can't function in society when you're suffering from an attack like that.
Do you find relief when you use cannabis during an attack (or when you feel an attack is about to come on)? If you haven't tried it yet, give it a shot. Try to look for a nice indica. Though, you may find relief using a sativa instead. You just have to try different medicines and see what's right for you.
If you have access to medibles or topicals, try those out too. If not, you can always make your own using a recipe. Let me know if you want said recipes.Words of Wisdom

Indicas make me too tired to function. I prefer to use them for my bouts with insomnia. Though 50/50 hybrids allow me to function fine and give me enough relief. Gets rid of the sensitivity to light and pounding to a degree. I usually smoke a .5 to a gram right when it starts and the tea for out and about which takes some time to work, but once it kicks in it's instant relief.

I haven't had cannabis tea in a long time. I should try to make a batch.

For long-term daily users of cannabis, there are a host of withdrawal symptoms that will present themselves within a couple of days of quitting. Anxiety, loss of appetite, and insomnia are the most common. I experienced these first-hand when I made the decision to quit as did two of my friends that quit at the same time. The anxiety and appetite issues resolved themselves within a week or two. However, three months later I still have difficulty falling asleep. THC, over time, can and does reprogram certain biological functions in the body that involve hormones that control hunger and sleep.
I am not claiming cannabis is addictive, only that cessation of regular use does lead to withdrawal symptoms and these can prompt people to smoke again for relief. I agree that cannabis has legitimate uses as a therapeutic drug and this should be studied in much more detail.

Please post your responses in the Cannabis Thread. The moderators here are trying to keep things clean and tidy. The cannabis threads have been sprouting up like weeds (no pun intended.. okay maybe a little).

Just my 2 cents on Cannabis:
I tried it a long time ago when I was a student. It was ok, but not amazing. So personally, it doesn't bother me that it's banned.
However, I believe that it isn't particularly harmful, probably less so than alcool and many other substances we ingest on a regular basis, so there are no medical reasons to uphold the ban.
Also, as a true libertarian, I believe that everybody should be free to eat, drink, smoke, inject or otherwise introduce into their body whichever substance they desire, as long as they bear, in full, the consequences of their actions. In other words, if you want to take drugs, fine by me, but if you get ill from it, lose your job because of it or otherwise suffer from it, that's your burden to bear. No public money should be spent on helping people recover from things they've inflicted on themselves. And yes, that would mean that some fools would die in the streets, but that's the price of freedom.

Dude, does sour grapes mean anything to you? If you keep beating that dead horse you will only get guts on your shoes.
There is clearly nothing you can do or say to stop people from posting in this thread and there is nothing you can do to stop pot smokers or other drugs users from doing what they want to do, so why keep trying? Do you have a back story involving pot or other drugs that includes some tragedy?
My point is your a rather smart dude but you keep doing the same thing expecting different results..... I am pretty sure that's the definition of insanity.
You don't agree..... It is dutifully noted and shall be reflected in the Elders Scroll.

No offense danielan, but it appears to me that you're the only person that is having a problem with this.
Not even precious007 has a problem with the discussion (and he avoids every drug known to man, except nicotine).
If you want to discuss the beautiful plant and her fine flowers, look no further, this thread is for you.
If you are a prohibitionist (or have some 'problem' with cannabis), then look no further, this thread is for you, too.
This thread is for everyone. All I ask is that you show some respect towards others.Words of Wisdom

If you can watch this and still disagree then I will refrain from posting in this thread. Even though it is in the "General All Things Non Snus Related" part of the forum.
Perhaps if we start a group and delete the thread so it doesn't come up anymore you wouldn't be bothered?
