As I see it, your doctor should have never put you on such a big dose to start with. I'm pretty sure that xanax comes in .25 mg doses and he should have started you there if you truly needed it. To put you on such a high dosage from the get go is just stupid. I've danced with the devil before and used to get prescribe a shit ton of opiates and benzos. The only real way to get of them is to cycle down then go cold turkey. It sucks, but there is no other way if you want to stop. They actually give you benzos in detox for alcohol so you don't stroke out. Anyway I've kicked the shit like 180 norcos a month and valium and 60 percocet so you can do it man, it will suck, but you can do it.

Not sure what vape you were using, but I have a Da Budda and a MFLB. I have used the MFLB within 10 feet of people and they have no idea. I have also had friends walk into my room as I wam vaping and state they can not smell anything. Now I know there IS some odor, but its so minimal, especially compared to smoking.
Anyway, good luck to you. Keep fighting the fgood fight.
I hope that I can smoke again as I really enjoy it, i'm not sure if the MJ is tied to the panic attacks or not, but a lot of people seem to claim the same thing so it is certainly possible that a certain subset of the population gets MJ induced panic attacks, I see it mentioned a lot by MJ smokers. Panic attacks being based in anxiety and therefore psychosematic in nature, I think it's just a question of if you mind is right and mine apparently isn't lol.
I'd still choose it over prescription meds any day, it has some side effects but nothing real extreme, which is something that can't be said for even OTC drugs like asprin.

Yah the withdrawal is very similar to alcohol withdrawal, it all seems to work on the same group of chemicals in your brain. I break the 1mg pills into .25 mg pieces and have slowly weened myself. On the current schedule I should be good in another couple of weeks. I have been reducing by .25 each 5 days and that seems to be working, I feel completely normal and even as I reduce the dose everything feels the same so apparently the taper schedule is working. Can't wait to be free from it though, pills are like my biggest fear and my DR is an idiot for getting me hooked on 2-3mg a day right off the bat. The side effects from starting at that high a dose were much worse than any existing anxiety I may have had lol.

Connecticut (US)
Connecticut One Vote Away From Decriminalization
Immediate action is needed in the Nutmeg State. Members of the state Senate on Saturday narrowly approved legislation so that the adult possession of marijuana is reduced from a misdemeanor (punishable by one year in jail and a $1,000 fine) to an infraction, punishable by a fine, no jail time, and no criminal record. This measure would similarly reduce penalties on the possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Your efforts have truly made a difference in this battle, as the bill passed by a single vote — and only weeks earlier political pundits were calling the chances of this bill’s success to be slim and none.
But we still have a tremendous amount of work before us. Senate Bill 1014 must still be approved by the House Floor by this coming Wednesday! Whether the floor will take the time to act on it will be decided by House Speaker Chris Donovan (D-Meriden). Please take a moment to contact him directly, leaving a polite message for his staff urging him to schedule a floor vote for SB 1014. You can also contact your own individual House Representative via NORML’s ‘Take Action Center’ here.
Separate legislation to approve the limited use of medical cannabis also awaits Senate floor action. Please contact the office of Sen. Don Williams, President Pro Tempore, and urge him to allow the 2011 medical marijuana bill to receive a floor vote. You can also contact your own individual Senator via NORML’s ‘Take Action Center’ here.
Additional information regarding this effort is available by contacting: Erik A. Williams, Executive Director, CT NORML, ewilliams@campaignswon.com, 860.805.3243.Words of Wisdom

It it is true, then Cannabis does indeed cure all forms of cancer, in oil form. I am testing now as I have made some oil and given it to my sister to use on her facial skin cancer. And I am gathering enough MJ to make a 2 oz batch of oil to give to my mother in law who is terminal with Colon Cancer and Chemo is no longer working. Just hope I can obtain enough MJ in time to make her the needed amount. I will report back with results.

Inventor of “synthetic pot” / “K2″ / “Spice” says legalize the natural marijuana
We get many comments on our stories about K2/Spice, the chemical “JWH-018″ and others like it that the media have dubbed “fake pot” or “synthetic marijuana.” The reason there is even such a chemical is that the scientist who invented it, John W. Huffman, could not get access to natural cannabis to study cannabinoids. Now he’s telling ABC News what we’ve been saying for decades: prohibition creates more dangerous drugs!(ABC News) now that “Spice” and other forms of imitation pot are sending users to emergency rooms across America, the retired professor has an idea of how to stem the epidemic. If the federal government would legalize the real thing, says Huffman, maybe consumers wouldn’t turn to the far more dangerous fake stuff.
Huffman, who developed more than 400 “cannabinoids” as an organic chemist at Clemson University, says that marijuana has the benefit of being a known quantity, and not a very harmful one. We know the biological effects of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, Huffman told ABC News, because they have been thoroughly studied. “The scientific evidence is that it’s not a particularly dangerous drug,” said Huffman.
“I talked to a marijuana provider from California, a doctor, a physician,” explained Huffman, “and he said that in California, that these things are not near the problem they are in the rest of the country simply because they can get marijuana. And marijuana, even for recreational use is quite easy to get in California, and it’s essentially decriminalized. And marijuana is not nearly as dangerous as these compounds.”Words of Wisdom

Scotts Miracle-Gro Looks to Help People Grow Cannabis
Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. has long sold weed killer. Now, it's hoping to help people grow killer weed.
In an unlikely move for the head of a major company, Scotts Chief Executive Jim Hagedorn said he is exploring targeting medical marijuana as well as other niches to help boost sales at his lawn and garden company.
"I want to target the pot market," Mr. Hagedorn said in an interview. "There's no good reason we haven't."
Sales at Scotts rose 5% last year to $2.9 billion. But the Marysville, Ohio, company relies on sales at three key retailers—Home Depot Inc., Lowe's Cos. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.—for nearly two-thirds of its revenue. With consumers still cautious about spending, the retailers aren't building new stores as quickly as they used to, making growth for suppliers like Scotts harder to come by. Against that backdrop, Mr. Hagedorn has pushed his regional sales presidents to look for smaller pockets of growth, such as the marijuana market, that together could produce a noticeable bump in sales.
Sixteen states have legalized medical marijuana, the largest being California and Colorado. The market will reach $1.7 billion in sales this year, according to a report by See Change Strategy LLC, an information data services company.
While the report focuses on revenue from growers and dispensaries, Kris Lotlikar, president of See Change, said the market for companies selling hydroponic equipment and professional services is also thriving.
"We see very good growth for these types of companies as the medical-marijuana business grows," he said.Words of Wisdom

Mrs Clinton told a regional security conference in Guatemala that the US would increase its aid by more than 10% to nearly $300m.
Budget Deficits ! we'll just throw more money away on (another) useless war !
