What's wrong with NPR; not biased enough? :^D

More restrictions than are in place now, fewer varieties, and less innovation. Will likely drive small local growers out of business, and it'll only be a big corporate affair. Hmm... Where have we seen that before?

Allusions to fascim aside, i dont see how they could restrict small growers from operating, seeing how a small business is who started prop 19.

Mpre restrictions on minors smoking. **** them, they shouldnt be smoking anyways. This is about adults having freedom, minors have no such freedoms. And fewer varieties? I dont see how that would be. I will listen to your article (which is not nearly biased enough for me, im sure) and consult my friend who is in the medical mj business. Last i hear small dispensiaries were supporting this. Ill get back to you, but i doubt itll pass tonight anyways.

Yeah, the poor small growers sitting at home in a pot field with dollars coming out of their ears!!! Not falling for that one.

That lifestyle and bunk propaganda was what killed this thing. Do they really think that in two years they are going to get this much support again?? I doubt it.

        Shoulda, coulda woulda!

I foresee it being treated like alcohol And cigarettes as far as having tax stamps on it, etc. If you have moonshine liquor and try to sell it, you get in the shits for trying to sell untaxed alcohol. It's all about the taxes... I also wonder how it would work, for instance, if I live in Atlanta and go visit friends in Frisco and I smoke out there- then come home and get a random drug test at work can they fire me? I didn't do anything illegal, and it certainly is not psychoactive when I take my piss test, but in my system nonetheless. So what does the standard become? Do we have laws about who can and can't smoke it? If a cop can drink hard liquor off the job why can't he do a j? I just foresee a lot of questions people don't think of and a lot of case law coming down the bend.

You're kiddin me. pot is illegal now? Like it really makes a difference. wtf...when did that happen?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

This really could of jumpstarted Cali's economy. I was thinking about all kinds of business opportunities with the non-smoking kind. Some of the ideas that were popping in my head would of made me pick up and move to the "GoldRush"!

Cali will implode by the next vote.

Montana Jury Stages 'Mutiny' In Marijuana Case

A marijuana mutiny? According to a prosecutor in Missoula County, Mont., potential jurors made it clear they wouldn't convict anyone for possessing a few buds of pot. District Judge Dusty Deschamps found it impossible to seat a jury, and decided to work out a plea bargain for the man in question, Touray Cornell, instead.

                      The Missoulian reports:

"I thought, 'Geez, I don't know if we can seat a jury,' " said Deschamps, who called a recess.

                      And he didn't.

During the recess, Paul and defense attorney Martin Elison worked out a plea agreement. That was on Thursday.

On Friday, Cornell entered an Alford plea, in which he didn't admit guilt. He briefly held his infant daughter in his manacled hands, and walked smiling out of the courtroom.

"Public opinion, as revealed by the reaction of a substantial portion of the members of the jury called to try the charges on Dec. 16, 2010, is not supportive of the state's marijuana law and appeared to prevent any conviction from being obtained simply because an unbiased jury did not appear available under any circumstances," according to the plea memorandum filed by his attorney.

                      "A mutiny," said Paul.

"Bizarre," the defense attorney called it.

In his nearly 30 years as a prosecutor and judge, Deschamps said he's never seen anything like it.
Authorities reportedly 'worry' that Cornell's situation will set a precedent for prosecuting future drug cases in Montana.

LOL, that is awesome if it's true. I would love to see the looks on the judges face when they can't seat a jury because everyone thinks the case is BS right off the bat, lol.

"Habitual criminal"? Depends on what those felonies are. If it's 8 counts of drug possession/dealing I'd hardly call that criminal.

IMO, if you have managed to gather 8 felonies on your record, really regardless of what they are, you are kind of a loser.

Yah I have to agree. Even with drug dealing, if you've been caught 8 times selling drugs, your probably a d-bag by all accounts. Especially if they were selling hard drugs. It's hard in most states to get a felony for selling weed, unless you are moving insane amounts of weight. He was probably selling the harder stuff.

                                Agreed.

I still think its a good story (it shows that public perception of cannabis is clearly changing for the better... Even in a place such as Montana ).
