You 'could' have more than the set limit of cannabis (plants and product) in Washington... Your doctor would have to specify the amount in his or her recommendation. I guess they figure that a pound and a half of herb or hash and 15 plants should be enough for most patients, and that if you're really that sick, then your doctor can specify a larger amount. Sounds sensible to me.

99 plants in a collective garden sounds very reasonable to me. If you're growing any more plants, then you're clearly in it for the profits. If the bill passes, you just need to register for a licence with the Department of Agriculture, and subject your garden to inspection by the WSDA (to ensure quality), and you're good to go. You can grow all the plants you want, and sell to the dispensaries.

About the Iolite... Haven't tried it. I've been trying to find a good and reasonably priced vap. There's no way I'm shelling out 500 bucks for one of those Volcanos. Those things are ridiculously overpriced.

I got mine online for $143.00 with a grinder - DO NOT PAY $200.00 ! It is definitely worth it but the Iolite does not taste like weed does when you burn it. As with most vaporizors, it has a unique taste. Smoking is smoking, vaping is vaping. It cleared up my lungs within the week and I no longer hack and cough. I love mine!

Being a medical user and gun control laws

I have seen a few precedent cases in Oregon where a lawful user of medical marijuana had his concealed weapons permit revoked. I would much rather have someone under the influence of marijuana carry a licensed concealed weapon than a drunk. Has anyone heard of such incidents in Washington State?

So I went out and bought the iolite last week. Everywhere was selling them for $200 so I went with that, but I got a free grinder and free 5x refined butane (vector I think) as well. The quality of the butane seems to make a huge difference with this product. The iolite is my new favorite vaporiser. Fits in my pocket, runs on butane (so it's not girly), and works amazingly.

It's by far hands down the best and only real portable vaporizer that is worth buying. I like that it has a set constant temperature and a thermostat so it just stays consistent. Then, you can use the "already been vaped" remains all over again, as the iolite burns at about 190 degrees which doesn't melt off all of the CBD compounds at the higher ranges. It definately helps your conserve.

I am now vaporizing almost exclusively. Amazingly better on the lungs and eliminates any of the few negative health effects of smoke.

In CA, you having a Dr's reccomendation is confidential. Only you and your Dr know about it. However, you can pay another $150 to register with the state and get their special "I can legally smoke" identification card. This way, if you get pulled over by a cop or something they will not hastle you at all if you have the state card. The problem is that your name is now on a list with the state, which may or may not be used to deny other rights such as firearm related licensing and such.

So I would probably just keep it to yourself.

I have the VaporGenie. It's very very nice and not expensive at all. About 50 €, 40 dollars I guess.
It's portable and very effective, but there's a learning curve you have to deal in the beginning.
I can't compared with any other, except with the eagle bill shake and vape, wich is very cheap but not that good in my opinion. It's like a crack pipe.

Sorry precious, marijuana use and the word "junkie" just don't go in the same sentence over here.

Yah, it's mainly an American thing. It's the product of a few decades worth of misinformation regarding cannabis, compounded with their incesant demand that we keep this plant as a scheduled drug, alongside much more harmfull drugs like pharmaceuticals.

Precious, I suppose everyone who takes aspirin for a heart attack is a junkie as well, or anyone who takes a sleeping pill for insomnia, a pill for depression, or a narcotic for pain relief. Luckily, being an MJ junky is healthier than being any other kind of junky. It's like snus, almost no harm, and you still get to feel good.

I've never tried that one, I heard some negative things about it, but that mostly has to do with the learning curve I would imagine. Same thing with the iolite, if you look on forums there is a million people complainng about how it broke after 10 minutes or how it doesn't work right. In reality, it's just the lurning curve, because it's powered by butane and due to the mechanics of the device it needs extremely pure butane, like 5x refined vector butane.

Vaporizers are just finicky though in general. It is much more complicated to maintain a constant temperature for the purpose of slowly melting off a certain range of chemicals from a substance. Much easier to just set the ****er on fire, but not as rewarding. What I like about vaporizers is that I don't really get high, it seems to clean up the buzz a bit and not make it feel like something is trying to drag you to sleep.

Amen brother. However, I'd call it more of a North American thing. Nice aspirin analogy. Perfect.

I am glad. "Marijuana" was a term made up by the propaganda in the 30s and 40s to make it sound more like a scary Mexican word (which is racist if you think about i). It was just another scare tactic the anti-marijuana groups used.

It's called 'Cannabis' (and it's as American as apple pie):

"Make the most of the Indian hemp seed, and sow it everywhere!"
                            -- George Washington

"Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth and protection of our country"
                            -- Thomas Jefferson

"The greatest service that can be rendered to any country is to add a useful plant to its culture"
                            -- Thomas Jefferson

"We shall, by and by, want a world of hemp more for our own consumption"
                            -- John Adams

"Prohibition... goes beyond the bound of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded"

                            -- Abraham Lincoln

And what about those legal herbs?

I tried some "69 pout porri" in a shop that open recently in the neighborhood. I didn't know what to expect but...damn....that's really potent.

But I'm not sure what they do to it to become legal. I'm kinda old fashion when it comes to cannabis..

                                That stuff is not cannabis.

They just take random herbs and spray it with a JWH-018 solution [1-pentyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole]. It's a research chemical (synthetic cannabinoid) developed by John W. Huffman at Clemson Univeristy in South Carolina.

                                http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_W._Huffman

                                http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JWH-018

My advice... Stay away from the research chemicals, and keep it green, blue, or purple.
