Where to buy boxes? Moving advice?

Snuson, I am moving to a much nicer apartment with my girlfriend here on Saturday. We will finally be out of "college apartment" housing although I still have a year left but I am excited for the nice place we found...and how quiet it will be.

Anyways, looking at moving all of my shit i've accumulated over the past year or so it's pretty clear if i want to do this efficiently I am going to need to get some boxes. A quick google search really doesnt turn up anything. I know places like walmart have boxes but they are much too shallow. I am not concerned about paying for them I just need to get ahold of anywhere between 5-20 big boxes both tall and wide......

Also any advice on moving? Mistakes you made that made the process take longer? Pro tips to help me do it quickly?

    Thanks guys

Those self-storage locker rental places sell new boxes of all sizes. I did that on my last move.
    U-Haul might too.

look on craigs list. You can get them for free. That's what I did. I ain't payin for stinkin boxes.

hint, someone that recently moved will post an ad and give them away. those are the nice people with a large quanity. most of the boxes will be the identical size and pack more efficiently.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Shops throw out a lot of boxes you could go and just ask if they have any they want to get rid of
Or take a peek in the bins

None of these places really have boxes at an optimal size. I've checked walmart and home depot all they offer is very wide shallow boxes.

Go to your local grocery store/Wal-Mart and ask for "receiving". They have HUNDREDS of boxes in the back and will let you take as many as you need.

On a side note, those big roles of stretchy shrink wrap come in quite handy when moving.
