Fat blokes need not apply. You lot are starting to sound like you were born in a lower caste district in India. Grow up.

Can I ask why? It just seems a bit odd as I have toast with my butter, and my sugar with coffee and cream (beastie boys!).

The idea is to cut out carbs in AM, so no toast or jelly, cream or sugar. Adding MCT and unsalted grassfed butter fills you up and gives you energy throughtout the morning and even into the afternoon and tastes f'n awesome. Not having carbs and adding MCT oil and butter allows you to have an intermittent fast from your last meal the day before. This recipe was popularized by Dave Asprey.... http://www.bulletproofexec.com/bulle...coffee-recipe/

              Benefits of Intermittent Fasting:

Fasting turns on autophagy (most studies nowadays treat this as common knowledge), which is the process by which cells recycle waste material, eliminate or downregulate wasteful processes, and repair themselves. Why is autophagy so important? It’s required to maintain muscle mass, and inhibiting it induces atrophy of adult skeletal muscle. It reduces the negative effects of aging and reduces the incidence and progression of aging-related diseases. In fact, researchers have determined that autophagy is the essential aspect of the anti-aging mechanism of fasting. Without the autophagy that fasting provides, you would get very few of the benefits. Fasting even increases neuronal autophagy, which aids in maintaining mental health and function. Short term fasting, too. No marathon thirty-six hour fast required.

I have seen the light brother. Going on 2 years now for me on a paleo diet usong these versions www.marksdailyapple.com and www.perfecthealthdiet.com. I challenge anyone that has weight or health issues to give it a try for 30 days and see the results themselves. if you eat the diet your body was designed to eat there is no struggle and dieting is not even an afterthought.

Amen brother. Mark's daily apple is pure gold. I got pretty into the bulletproof regimen, and although I have since branched out, Dave still has some pretty cool new ideas...

Dave does have some good stuff...he is not my go to but has some of my favorite hacks...BP coffee being one of them. Also, checkout Paul Jaminet's work...it is very much in line with Mark Sisson's work. Sisson actually wrote the forward to Jaminet's book... Perfect Health Diet www.perfecthealthdiet.com. Also, if you haven't already, checkout Chris Kresser's work www.chriskresser.com.
