Nothing's changed mate ... Check out the latest high school shooting thread ... I like to think I've learnt from our previous encounter there ... Snuson will be snuson!

How's the aquaponics/hydroponics stuff doing? I loved the way your passion for growing stuff coincided with mine ... There's a kind of spiritual happiness that growing the food you and your family eats brings that just doesn't come to you anywhere else!

Yah it's a hot topic. I mean one side is like "The people killing people are the problem, not the tool", and the other side is like "Yah but the tool is ONLY for killing things and every idiot seems to have them" etc. It's a situation where both sides are right. The only reason I am pro-gun is that I value my freedom to have this particular tool over the illusion of protection that may be gained if we gave it up. If guns weren't already readily available on every street than I may be more prone to agree with not letting people have them, but the cat is out of the bag here. Nothing to do now but defend yourself lol.

I just bought my first house and unfortunately had to shelve my hydroponic stuff for the time being. Just had a super expensive new backyard put in and the wife doesn't want me to muddy it up with my contraptions. Women are too form over function! But I digress.

Just been too busy to really do much with it, but growing plants or food is like raising children, you can't truly appreciate something until you've raised it from a seed to an adult.

That's fair enough! Although my missus is never happier than when she's digging up the lawn to put some new organic raised bed in to grow tomatoes in! She's not as keen on my tobacco plants though.

You'll have plenty enough to occupy yourself with a new kid on the way though! I'm sure you'll pick up where you left off one day ... Every bloke needs a shed to run away to once in a while to escape the insanity of family life!
