I suppose if you are used to guns being around in your culture then that may seem logical..... but surely if there were no guns in the first place
no one would need to shoot anyone else? either to protect themselves or otherwise. Just my 2 cents as well ( or pence) and it probably doesn't concern me all the way over here

That argument has been made time and again. It would likely just end up with more collateral damage as even
the New York PD accidentially shot about 6 citizens just awhile back.

Funny how there aren't shootings at campuses that allow people to carry. But honestly it doesn't even matter, even if the cops were on the scene a guy with a weapon will inflict damage before being stopped no matter what.

Also, how is Berghdal a patriot? Maybe this hits closer to home to me than you as I was across the street from him (1-505, he was in 1-501) but literally everyone who knew him thinks he deserted (which he clearly did), he left notes saying as much when he mailed his stuff home and stacked all his gear up in a nice pile right before sneaking out to make a bee line straight for the taliban stronghold. Then intel shows he was actually allowed to carry an AK while in captivity etc. I'm glad we got him home, we can't leave anyone behind, but I think he is the opposite of a patriot if we are going off facts and not emotions.
