Why do you want to sweeten your coffee? Distracts from the taste IMO, same with adding milk or cream to it, black is best.
Obviously, personal preference. I do not like added table sugar but I do like the taste of real cream. I also like black if it is a good coffee but still would add cream (or unsalted butter), if I had the option.
