Third of Americans want Obama to be impeached

Third of Americans and a majority of Republicans want Obama to be impeached

A third of Americans think Congress should impeach President Barack Obama, polls released today show. Left-leaning publication the Huffington Post along with polling partner YouGov and right-leaning polling company Rasmussen Reports came up with roughly the same percent of Americans who think Congress should bring formal charges against the president in separate polls that were released this morning. The poll-takers also found that 68 and 58 percent of Republicans, respectively, think the president should be impeached.

"Never in the 5,000 years that God's flat Earth has existed has there been such a corrupt, Muslim head of state." - A bigger share of that 1/3 of Americans than I would like to think.

[Edit: This is not a dig at wa3zrm - I enjoy mocking outliers at either end of the spectrum, even when I reside there myself. I also considered editing the extraneous comma, but I like the unintentional implication that some people could think that Obama is both the corruptest, and most Muslim head of state ever. Christ, would I prefer that there were more snus-related news we could chat about instead.]

Fore! Obama plans 16-day Martha's Vineyard vacation on $12m estate (Video 27seconds)
      Washington Examiner ^ |

It's going to be hot tubs, basketball, tennis and golf for the first family this summer, having set plans for a 16-day vacation in Martha's Vineyard, Mass., on a $12 million, 10-acre forested estate on the southwestern corner of the island.
Reports from the Bay State indicate that President Obama and his family will vacation August 9-24 at the 8,100-square foot, beachfront home of a Democratic donor that includes a pool, hot tub, basketball and tennis court.
It will be new digs for the first family, who have summered on tony Martha's Vineyard every year of Obama's presidency, except in 2012 when he was running for reelection.
The Vineyard Gazette reported that the White House has no major or public events planned for the almost three weeks, typical at this stage of a presidential vacation.
The Cape Cod Times reported that several local stores typically visited by the president and his family during the past five Obama trips are making plans to welcome them, including famous Mad Martha's Ice Cream which last year developed a new flavor called “Barack My World,” espresso ice cream, macadamia nuts and caramel.
Obama is expected to be accompanied by top aide Valerie Jarrett, a regular summer resident of Oak Bluffs, one of the island's bigger towns.
It will be among the longest vacations Obama has taken and four times longer than the average 3.8 day vacation the typical American family takes.

Is he really the first president to take either obscenely long or expensive vacations?

Not saying it makes it right, but...............

Definitely not. It's the mindset people have though when they think someone is doing something poorly or not doing something. I don't like Obama but I think every president has performed poorly. Its very frustrating to most people when everyone says we need to reduce the deficit and another person comes along and adds to it. It certainly isn't all Obama's fault almost every recent president besides Clinton has added to it. Its the continuation of a cycle of letting 2 people compete to be president when neither of them will do what the people want which is supposed to be what the president does. O well with WW3 about to begin I'm sure the dude's got enough on his plate.

It takes a 2/3 vote in the Senate to remove a president from office. Impeachment without Removal is an exercise in futility.

It's just more political grandstanding and a chance for those slackers to screw around instead of doing some honest work for a change............

Unfourtunatley, the Israeli- Palestinian issue has been going on for as long as I can remember and seems to flair up every 2-3 years. Honestly I find the lastest development in Ukraine to be far more troubling........
