I love Guinness, New Castle, Harps, Corona and Murphy's. Guess I'm not a fan of mass produced American beer.

When you start talking other beers that are smaller batches...more craft beers, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of excellent American beers that fit that category. Most of those aren't available in other countries though. If I had a choice of one beer to drink for the rest of my life though...I'd probably choose Newcastle...or maybe Guinness.

If you could drink one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pacífico (mass produced mexican pilsner) or Baltika #7 (mass produced russian beer)

Yuengling from the tap is also good.

I also like many of the Samuel Adams flavors...

I agree with the Czech president. With the exception of some really good microbrews, American beer is awful! If I have to buy a commonly available beer, I generally get Heineken. My favorite beers are harder to find in my area though: Zywiec (a Polish beer) and Karmeliten (a German beer)

Well, most mass market beers here are total crap. Aside from a couple of local microbrews here (County Boy and West 6th), my top picks would be Guinness Drought and some Sam Adams beers.

Guys, I've got to say....Guinness outside of Ireland is dreadful....it is absolutely nothing like the stuff you get in Ireland. I won't even touch the stuff in England. When I had Guinness in Japan which was only sold in bottles I nearly puked....it's worse than bad.

I agree, although Guinness is good in Liverpool as it hasn't had far to travel. Draft Guinness in bottles and cans is wrong! Except the export one that's mainly sold everywhere except here and is about 8% and has a nice molasses flavour to it. I saw it all over Africa (in pint bottles) just think Guinness original (not draft) but much stronger and sweeter initially, then it kicks you from behind and sets your bitter tastebuds off on one. I like it

I think the same can be said for about every beer. I went to St. Louis to Budweiser and the beer that you could sample there was way better than what you can get at a liquor store. It was enjoyable at the brewery but I can't choke any of there beers down, except Michelob Amber Bock, any other time...bottle, can, keg doesnt matter

Guinness draft here is pretty damn good in bottles. However, they sell this terrible stout here that's actually made in Canada.....Canada!!!

You guys need to try more beer! There are dozens of good beers in Portland, let alone the rest of the US. Saying there's no good beer here is like saying there's no good hamburgers because you tried one at Burger King once.

The UK and Belgium also have great beer... I wish I could get Innes and Gunn here!

Rogue is one of the best breweries in the states. Yellow Snow, Mocha Porter, and the Chipolte ale are my favorites, though I haven't had anything from them I didn't like (except the hazelnut one, but if you like hazelnut i suppose it would be pretty good).
