Woman drank beer while breastfeeding baby at bar, court docs say (Indiana)
    WISH (Indiana) ^ | June 19, 2017

Michael Trosclair, 45, and Shari Treba, 42, both face felony neglect of a dependent charges, along with misdemeanor public intoxication charges.
Authorities say the pair were in town for a work conference when a witness reported Treba drinking alcohol while breastfeeding a baby outside a downtown bar.
According to a probable cause affidavit, around 12:38 a.m. June 16, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to Wild Beaver Saloon at 20 E. Maryland St. on a report that a woman was breastfeeding an infant while drinking alcohol, as well as soliciting customers for beer.

a BJ for a beer? sounds fair to me.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

Disney to Remove ‘Wench’ Auction from Pirates of the Caribbean Ride
            KFOR ^

Disney will remove the infamous “bride auction” scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland next year, the company announced on Thursday.
During the planned ride refurbishment, Disney will alter the roles of the auctioneer, the redhead woman and other characters participating in the “Auction: Take a Wench for a Bride” scene.
In the current scene, the redhead character is the prize of the auction. According to Disney, the redhead is holding a rifle and will be a “plundering pirate” in the new scene. In the official announcement, Disney wrote:
“…the redhead is trading her fashionable bonnet for a pirate’s hat. Guests will now see her joining the pirates’ ranks and helping the locals “unload” their valuables at the Mercado auction.”
Marty Sklar, 83, who retired as head of Walt Disney Imagineering, said Walt Disney always supported updating theme park attractions.
“’Pirates of the Caribbean’ has always represented great Disney Park storytelling; it has set the standard for the theme park industry for half a century,” Sklar said. “But it’s a story you can continue to add fun to, with great characters in new ‘performances.’ That’s what the Imagineers have done with this new auction scene—it’s like a theatre show with a new act.”

15 Boys Contract Rabies After Having Sex With A Donkey

Reports suggest that significantly more teens may have been infected, but their families may have taken them to hospitals farther away to avoid embarrassment.

Fifteen teenagers have been treated for rabies that they may have contracted from having sex with an infected donkey.
According to the Morocco World News, the local daily Al Akhbar originally reported that the 15 teens from the small village of Sidi Kamel were hospitalized and treated for rabies earlier last week after contracting the disease when they gang raped a local donkey.
Families of the perpetrators are ashamed and shocked, reports indicate. Many families with boys of a similar age in the village had them vaccinated with the rabies inoculation out of fear that they may have had sex with the animal.
It’s also likely that significantly more teens were infected with rabies, but their families may have taken them to hospitals farther away from the village to avoid embarrassment.
Rabies is generally spread by saliva contact, and has not been observed to be spread through sexual contact, so if these teens received the disease from raping this donkey, the actual transmission must have come through a bite from the animal or some other saliva contact throughout the alleged sex acts.
In order to limit the risk of rabies spreading, the local government is searching for anyone who “approached” or “admired” the donkey closely in order to make sure that they are vaccinated. Authorities have also ordered the owner of the donkey to put it down to avoid further spreading of the disease.
Despite the obvious health risks and the illegality of the practice in many countries, bestiality, unfortunately, remains more common than many might think. As many as 8.3 percent of men and 3.6 percent of women have engaged in sexual contact with an animal, according to the Kinsey reports, while at least one other study suggests that the number could be as high as 10 or 15 percent.
Just this month, an Arkansas man was arrested for having sex with a family’s pet donkey.
Bestiality can often result in the spread of zoonoses, or animal diseases that can be transmitted to humans. These include Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection that can cause Meningitis; Echinococcosis, parasitic worms that create cysts and can even cause death; and, of course, rabies.

People who refuse to use transgender pronouns

Let’s just list this as the next in an ongoing series of reasons why you should be glad that you don’t live in California. (And for those of you who actually do, I don’t have too much pity. You’ve had plenty of warning signals and you should have moved by now.) In the race to lead the nation in identity politics and political correctness taken to the umpteenth degree, California should be surging into the lead. A bill has actually been passed in the State Senate and is now under consideration in the Assembly which would impose criminal penalties – including jail time – if you are found to be addressing a transgender person using pronouns which don’t match the gender they imagine themselves to be.
A bill that passed the California state senate and is now moving through the Assembly could threaten jail time for anyone who refuses to use a transgender person’s preferred pronoun.
The law is currently limited in its effects to nursing homes and intermediate-care facilities, but if passed, those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” could be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code. The state senate passed the bill 26-12 at the end of May. Since then, the Assembly Judiciary committee recommended the bill unanimously and the General Assembly held its first hearing on the legislation Wednesday.
For the moment, this would only apply in nursing homes. (These are locations which are not traditionally known for an overwhelming number of transgender residents.) But legal analysts are already speculating that the prohibition would spread well beyond those confines and do so quickly.

This is one of those cases where I do honestly hope that they can manage to pass this into law. And then we’ll need a volunteer to go violate it and take this question to court. Can the government actually regulate people’s speech based on whether or not it’s polite enough? If William Johnson prefers to be called “Mr. Johnson” and lets you know it, the polite thing to do would be to refer to him as such. If you continue calling him “Bill” he can be annoyed with you or simply walk away and refuse to talk to such a rude individual. But he can’t have you arrested. But just because a basically fictitious (medically and scientifically), politically favored subset of people are involved, we’re going to make an exception and lock up the offenders?

If this law can actually be passed and survive a challenge, we’ve really thrown in the towel on the Constitution.

400 men cut off their testicles to 'get closer to God' after advice from Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Multi-millionaire religious "guru" Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh - who has been sentenced to 10 years for rape on 28 August - persuaded around 400 of his estimated 50 million followers worldwide to cut off their own testicles to "bring them closer to God".

The details of the bizarre incident have only just come to light despite reportedly taking place in 2000 at a hospital run by Ram Rahim in India.
India's Central Bureau of Investigation has reportedly accused Ram Rahim of grievous bodily harm and he is under investigation. He has previously been questioned over the murder of an investigative journalist in 2002 and has also been accused of sexual assault by female followers but has never been charged.

Navkiran Singh, who is the lawyer for Hans Raj Chauhan, the only castration victim so far to come forward, said his client and other victims believed they would become social outcasts if they refused to perform the "operation" demanded of them by Ram Rahim.

"They were told that only those who get castrated will be able to meet God," said Navkiran, in a report in the Daily Mail.

Ram Rahim, 47, dubbed the "guru in bling", is head of the socio-political organisation Dera Sacha Sauda and is estimated to be worth £26m.

The guru stars in a spectacular new movie, Messenger of God, in which he appears to walk on air, tear tree trunks in half and perform other miracles. Though 157,000 people are thought to have attended the film's premiere in Gurgaon, near Delhi, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the revelations have caused sales of tickets for the movie to dwindle dramatically.

Gurus are big business in India, where their endorsements can help political parties get elected, and where millions of people seek spiritual guidance every year. Sathya Sai Baba, who was said to be able to conjure ash from thin air, was worth an estimated US$7bn when he died.

Even after death, some gurus retain a hold over devotees. Ashutosh Maharaj, who was certified deceased by medical examiners last year, has had his body frozen by followers who apparently believe he is merely in a state of deep meditation called "samadhi".

The controversial Indian guru broke down in court on Monday, 28 August, after he was handed down a 10-year prison sentence for raping two of his women followers. The verdict was delivered at a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court inside a prison building in Rohtak, in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

Security was beefed up in and around the city in the run-up to the sentencing of the 50-year-old self-styled 'godman'. The court has also ordered him to pay financial compensation to the rape victims. Singh is expected to move the high court challenging the sentence.

Ram Rahim, dubbed the "guru in bling", is head of the socio-political organisation Dera Sacha Sauda and is estimated to be worth £26m. He commands an estimated 50 million followers worldwide.

On Friday, 25 August, a court found the flamboyant guru guilty of the rape charges. The judgement triggered violent protests among his supporters, leading to the death of about 40 people. Trains and buses were torched in Indian capital Delhi.

Mississippi woman allegedly stabbed by 13-year-old who cut her ear off

A Mississippi teen has been charged after he allegedly stabbed an elderly woman and cut her ear off.
Corey Smith, 13, was charged in connection with an attack that left a 61-year-old Jackson resident in critical condition and without an ear, KMBC reported.
The unidentified woman was reportedly attacked at her home late Tuesday night. A family member told KMBC that after she parked her car and walked toward her house, a man ran over to her, cut her ear off and stabbed her multiple times.
The man then reportedly stole the elderly woman’s purse and car keys before driving off in her car.
