Toddler wounds both parents with 1 shot from handgun

A 3-year-old boy found a handgun in his mother's purse and fired just one shot that wounded both his parents at an Albuquerque motel on Saturday, police said.
According to investigators, the toddler apparently reached for an iPod but found the loaded weapon. Police believe the shooting to be accidental.
The bullet first struck his father in the buttock and then hit the right shoulder of his mother, who is eight months pregnant, police said. His 2-year-old sister was present but unhurt.

Both injuries are non-life threatening, authorities said.
Justin Reynolds told KOB-TV (http://goo.gl/gRCXe0) that he and his girlfriend, Monique Villescas, were getting ready to order pizza when the toddler fired the shot.
"It was like if I was to get up shake your hand and sat back down. That's how fast it happened," Reynolds said." All of a sudden we heard a gun go off and the next minute I realized my girlfriend was bleeding. Then, I sat down and realized I was shot, too."

It's the new "cool" thing now. I can't single out individuals. If this person was born a man and felt they were a woman that's fine. But a surprising large number of "hip" 12-16 year olds are now calling themselves "transgender" because they grew up in a world where everyone gets an award for participating and everyone is the smartest little thing to ever exist. Once that runs out they try to find new ways to show what a special little snowflake they are and usually claiming to be transgender or any other weird terms they come up with, is the way to go. You can thank a website called tumblr for this.

People develop "triggers" which is things they say you can't talk about because it "triggers" them. Some of them even claim to get PTSD when people disagree with their online opinions.
They also target individuals who they disagree with and attempt to have their lives ruined because what that individual said "triggered" them.

It's a strange world we're living in Andy. I think it's starts with the parents. Everyone's child is the best at everything, and they have never done anything wrong, and if you say otherwise you will be faced with harassing parents who may even try to file suit on you for saying their little shit isn't the next tesla.

The world is long past that. There are people claiming to really be dogs, or rabbits, or wolves, or squirrels "on the inside."
Asexual was so 8 months ago. Now I can be a pansexual genderfluid low fat mocca frappacino with large intake valve exhaust....that identifies as female

Florida court asked to decide if gay sex constitutes 'intercourse'

The case arose in Key West where Gary Debaun was charged in 2011 with falsely telling a man he did not have the virus before they engaged in sex acts. Monroe County Circuit Judge Wayne Miller dismissed the case, saying state law defined "sexual intercourse" as between men and women.
The state appealed, arguing that the 1986 law Debaun violated, which requires HIV-infected people to inform their partners, was intended to cover all sex acts, both homosexual and heterosexual, even if it did not precisely define the nature of sexual intercourse.
In large part that was because the law was written in gender neutral language, the state argued.
A district appeals court overturned Miller's ruling and asked the Supreme Court to intervene.
"The Florida Legislature and this court have always identified penile-vaginal union as 'sexual intercourse' and distinguished it from all other sexual contact," assistant public defender Brian Lee Ellison, representing Debaun, said in his brief to the high court.
"The plain meaning of the term is therefore clear and unambiguous," he added, stating that, according to Florida law sexual intercourse "does not refer to homosexual acts or oral sex."

Motorist cited for using flashlights in place of headlights

The Knoxville Police department sent out a reminder on their Facebook page Thursday stating that flashlights should never be used in place of headlights in a vehicle.
Officials say a Sweetwater resident was pulled over twice in an 18 hour period for driving after dark with only flashlights used to light up the road. The flashlights were reportedly strapped in with a bungee cord attached to the vehicle's bumper. The driver was first stopped by KPD in East Knoxville, then later by another officer in North Knoxville.

Officials: Teen accused in boy's death took selfie with body

GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a western Pennsylvania teenager charged in the shooting death of another teen took a selfie with the body and sent it to a friend on social media. The 16-year-old boy is charged with homicide and a firearms count in the death of 16-year-old Ryan Mangan, who was found Wednesday evening in his Jeannette home. Police were contacted by the mother of another boy who said he'd received a photo showing the suspect with the victim after he'd been shot, and also received text messages from the suspect saying "Told you I cleaned up the shells" and "Ryan was not the last one."

Muslim holiday being ‘honored’ by Conn. school district includes animal sacrifice

Muslim holiday being ‘honored’ by Conn. school district includes animal sacrifice We reported on the basics of this story earlier. I felt another post was necessary for some of the specifics.
According to the NY Daily News, one of the holidays that the Waterbury school district has decided to ‘honor’ is Eid al-Adha:
The board voted to recognize Eid Al-Fitr, marking the end of the month of Ramadan, and Eid Al-Adha, an annual feast day, by giving observant students the day off to celebrate with their families. It also voted to instruct educators not to schedule any field trips, major tests or class events on the two holidays, according to the FoxCT channel.
Walid Shoebat points out that Eid al-Adha isn’t just a day of prayer and family, but it also includes the sacrificing of an animal at the end of the day:
Eid al-Adha is the Muslim “Festival of the sacrifice” which falls on the Muslim 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah and lasts for three days.

Want To Start A Blog in Philadelphia? You’ll Need A $300 License For That!

Licensing regulations reduce economic freedom by creating barriers to market entry. For example, in my current home of Philadelphia, bloggers are required to obtain a $300 permit from the city. Blogging is by no means a lucrative business. In fact, an estimated 80% of bloggers will never make more than $100 from their work. A city official ironically says Philadelphia “loves the self-employed”. These permit-happy bureaucrats fail to grasp basic economics: occupational licensing can be detrimental to the economy.
