    UPS sucks.

UPS are terrible. They should be broken up into smaller companies with actual competition. For example:

Recently we got 2 feet of snow here. This did not stop packages from flowing into my local hub on time. The roads here have been clear for 3 days now, but for some reason, UPS cannot be bothered to deliver to me. Take a look at my snus shipment's tracking history:
    Location Date Local Time Activity
Lexington, KY, United States 02/19/2015 4:35 P.M. Recent weather has caused delivery delays. Recovery efforts are under way to deliver your package as soon as possible. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day.

02/17/2015 6:00 P.M. Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / We’re working to deliver your package as soon as possible.

Newark, NJ, United States 02/17/2015 9:33 A.M. Departure Scan
02/17/2015 8:10 A.M. The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / Your package was released by the clearing agency.
02/17/2015 6:00 A.M. Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / We’re working to deliver your package as soon as possible.
Newark, NJ, United States 02/17/2015 5:40 A.M. Arrival Scan
    Koeln, Germany 02/17/2015 2:57 A.M. Departure Scan
    02/17/2015 12:15 A.M. Arrival Scan
    Stockholm-Arlanda, Sweden 02/16/2015 10:18 P.M. Departure Scan
02/16/2015 4:02 P.M. The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
    Stockholm-Arlanda, Sweden 02/16/2015 8:14 P.M. Export Scan
    02/16/2015 8:14 P.M. Origin Scan
Sweden 02/16/2015 10:24 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS
And this isn't the first time. It seems that about 50% of the time I have to deal with UPS, something goes wrong.

That does suck, may be problems that are not in your area actually causing the problem???

I don't think so. The hub this package is coming from is about 5 miles from where I live, and the entire city's roads have been scraped and treated and it hasn't snowed since.

Ooooh, so you can't run over there and get it from a hub. I posted somewhere else that UPS's My Choice is a handy feature I use. You can have them hold a package and go to their will call to pick it up.....I seem to be doing it more frequently because of the age/signature/sitting at home/waiting scenario.....some of the online vendors don't have the "before 10:00 am guaranteed" option which I prefer. It's a free service.........
On the bright side, your snus is cold!

At least it seems that UPS is keeping it at their local hub. USPS likes to keep my stuff moving... it arrives at my local hub and then they send it down south for a few days... only to return to the local hub for another try... if I'm lucky, they send it to my local post office.... if not, they will send it on another trip to only God knows where.

Oh... by the way... I'm not out in the sticks... I live in a top 100 market!
