    Programming and other computer things

    Hey there guys.
    Here's the deal.
I've started taking classes to learn Python.
I have the basics down, but I hit a block and just can't seem to push past it(so I started html, css until I can get over that little hump).
I'm also venturing out into pentesting and trying to learn the ropes.
I've been getting more familiar with the terminal on my laptop(I'm running Kali) and have also been doing the challenges at places like hackthissite.org.
I guess the main question is, would dabbling in multiple things at once make it harder to become proficient in any one area?
I would also welcome any advice on which languages would be the best to learn up front, easiest ways to learn them, and places where I can practice and see results.

I'm currently learning from codecademy and microsoftvirtualacademy(I don't like the videos, but whatever), as well as various other sites that have reading material.
It would also be helpful if there is anyone that is just starting or that wouldn't mind throwing code back and forth between ourselves to go over and create little challenges that we could each do.
Working...
