I listen to a fairly wide variety, country, 80s rock, Andean ethnic folk music, southern rock, and heavy metal. What you are most likely to catch me listening to, though, is metal. Traditional Metal, Power Metal, Symphonic Metal, Speed Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and a little Metalcore.

    Bands:
    Nightwish
    Lacuna Coil
    Within Temptation
    Sonata Arctica
    Iced Earth
    Rebellion
    Savatage
    Iron Maiden
    Judas Priest
    Circle II Circle
    Amon Amarth
    Amorphis
    Ronnie James Dio
    Rush
    Triumph
    38 Special
    Lynyrd Skynyrd
    Charlie Daniels Band
    Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I'm mostly into black metal, like Immortal, Satyricon, Darkthrone, and similar metal like Unleashed, Bathory, Emperor, Dark Fortress, and old school, Sodom, Venom, Destruction, Celtic Frost.....
I also like some 70's-80's UK artwave, like Bowie, Numan, Ultravox.
Punk, The Exploited, Vice Squad, Discharge, Subhumans.
              Devo, Fear, Black Flag...
I like some world music, such as India stuff.

I also am a black metal musician and have a band.

Oh, NoFx! Man that brings me back to senior year of highschool with my buddy Andrew. He's a skater punk and we always listened to their stuff while I was getting shots of him pulling tricks and stunts around town. Now I wanna dig through my photos and find 'em..

I absolutely love that stuff. I still listen to all my old mix CDs and what not from high school. Really, I probably need some new music, but whatever..

..lately, I've been on a electronic kick though, I have a jungle/dnb, ahardcore/gabber, and a house CD in my car.. and I think also The Killers, punk covers, and a band called Vast are in there, but I havent been listening to them too much.

                        Shaul,
we have some of the same tastes, from your list:

                        The Offspring
                        Green Day
                        A New Found Glory
                        Reel Big Fish
                        The Temptations My Girl, what?
Vast ..I was just intro'd to this one.. good stuff

Various techno and trance too, as long as it has a fast heavy beat.
                        ..any specific DJs?

Just to be clear, because it is a shockingly common misconception: DJs are the people at parties and in clubs who spin records and CDs created by artists. DJs do not actually make the music, normally, although some do, they just manipulate it to get people dancing. Two very different animals. If you want hard and fast trance, then you'd be interested in psychedelic trance. If you want a very heavy beat, then tech-trance is your thing.

Here's an example of hard, fast psychedelic trance. (Multistate - Nefarious, South Africa)

Here's an example of tech-trance. (Spirallianz - One Way Ltd., Germany)

Both links are to Saikosounds, a great store in Japan to buy good music.

No specific artists or anything, just anything like the two examples given (awesome stuff, btw!). Let's me zone into whatever I'm studying a whole lot better than, say, Nile (deathmetal). Though, during PT or before a spirit run few things beats metal for getting into the "I'm going to obliterate every friggin' muscle in my and/or your body" mood. And this is why I don't have rank. >=3

                            Oh yeah, add in:
                            Blessed Union of Souls
                            Boyz 2 Men
                            All 4 One
The Five Satins (as in the smooth silky material bedsheets and lingerie are made from)

Manage to get some guys together to sing with you and you'll melt hearts. Hey, don't you give me that look. You know it's damn well true!
