Lol, JBean, try posting at 4am after trying to study for a German midterm. I went back and asked myself "Did I really just post that crap?" and rewrote the post to make it comprehendable and fully in English.

Then why were you asking for DJs instead of artists? I've never once asked for DJ recommendations.

Crossfade is such a post-breakup band, and yet I like them even though they make me think of my ex. Mainly because I think "Haha, you missed out and now Jackie's got me! So much happier, ya dumb wench!" XD

Admit it, with songs like Cold, So Far Away, and Colors? Post-breakup band.

I can and do listen to most kinds of music, but I always fall back on metal - mostly death, black and epic.

This is a pretty impressive thread. I’m so used to everyone thinking I have a strange musical taste. That and my Mom telling me I would outgrow this phase back in the 80s. My list would be huge, so here is what I currently have on my MP3 player.

13th Floor Elevators, Acrimony, Amebix, At the Gates, Band of Gypsys, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, Bolt Thrower, Born Against, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Buddy Guy, Budgie, Buried at Sea, Cactus, Captain Beyond, Carpathian Forest, Church of Misery, Contropotere, Cream, Darkthrone, Dead Man ,Deep Purple, Deviated Instinct, Discharge, Electric Wizard, Enslaved, Flux of Pink Indians, Howlin Wolf, Immortal, Isengard, Isis, Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice, MC5, Minor Threat, Misfits, Mountain, Muddy Waters, Nebula, Negative Approach, Neurosis, Om, The Pogues, Reagan Youth, Rudimentary Peni, Sacrilege, Satyricon, Sleep, The Stooges, Storm, Toadliquor, Ufomammut, Ween, Windir, Witch, Witchcraft, and YOB

I definitely can see you like some good old crust and anarcho-punk. Did you see Amebix play recently? I couldn't take time off work to go see them, but some of my friends saw a few of their shows.

                          P.S.

                          Sacrilege is the shit!

Yeah, I grew up with that stuff. My friend’s older brother was way into punk. He started taking us to shows with him in like 83 or 84 and I was hooked from then on. I didn’t find out about the Amebix reunion tour until after they went back east

I am a huge Slipknot fan, probably has a lot to do with being born, raised, and living in Des Moines. I feel when some people outside of Iowa listen to Slipknot they just don't get the full experience. I know it sounds weird and maybe even stupid, but living in Iowa really makes you appreciate and understand Slipknot's music a lot more. I don't think the same can be said for living in some place like Seattle during the Nirvana/Pearl Jam/Grunge days.

When not listening to them, usually I throw on some classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Cream, Blue Oyster Cult, or Bob Seger.

Other harder stuff I dig: Rammstein, Stone Sour, System of a Down, and Tool.
