Yellowpurple: The labels don't really matter very much. There are a couple of Rammstein songs that I really like. The main reason I don't listen to them much is that I honestly don't listen to too much music that has guitars in it. But I do like them, especially their vocals and the driving beats. If you like German industrial style music, I highly recommend checking out Das Ich, and you might like Armageddon Dildoes if you are okay with smoother vocals.

...I agree that labels don't matter very much. I am just attempting to use them as a reference point for similar sounding music. Thanks for the ideas on the new bands to listen to. Cheers.

Check out The Tossers, Big Bad Bollocks, and The Real McKenzies. The McKenzies are super duper bad ass, especially the albums 10,000 Shots and Loch'd and Loaded....though all are very good.

Wow, awesome lists everybody. Neurosis is as close to personal-power music and a band that has helped me through life across the last 15+ years. But I found common-ground with everyone's lists above.

My son turned me on the this band, it's the only CD he had I could actually listen too and liked! I was tooling around on iTunes a few months back, and found Johnny Lang. He's only about 28, but cut his first album at 14. There's five albums, four on iTunes. I listen to these every time I get on a plane. Rock/Blues mostly, the last is very spiritual and deep. It's unlike anything I've ever heard, and I can't stop listening!! Awsome stuff. Most songs you'll like (if you like Rock, blues), some you'll hate, but you can't stop playing it!! It's weird. I hated most of the third album when I got it, now I play it all the time! A few of the songs on the fourth brought me to tears, but I don't like the rest too much yet. Get the 2nd and 3rd, and if your hard core blues, the first is amazing for a 15 year old. This guy is by far, one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard!! My brother, a musician, saw him in concert, and was blown away.

I would go to BOTH of those, if I were you. Vic's voice is HUGE, and their musicianship is something to see.

                        Detroit Techno/Electro.

                        Stuff like dopplereffekt, Drexciya etc.

UK based based I like people like Scape One, Daz Quale, Autechre etc.

I DJ now and again. I should post up the details if I do a gig, but being in Japan I'd doubt that anyway could make it ha ha.

                              Ra
                              Nile
                              Dethklok
