Anyone remember this? Pretty sure this was from a Season 8 episode of the Simpsons, Homer freaks out about a Japanese soap commercial character looking like him, and eventually finds out the homer-head was a combination of 2 corporate logos. Too bad the video quality sucks, but it makes me want to watch The Simpsons.

I totally remember that one. Very funny. They did a pretty good job of portraying the weirdness of Japanese culture.

Haha! Love that episode (it's called: In Marge we trust). Season 8 is simply brilliant - my personal favorite.

An episode I'd love to see again is the one where Homer flees, because of tax evasion or something, to some stranded island and he gets high by licking toads. It goes back a ways, but when I look for it I can't find it.

if you really want a look into disturbing Japanese psycho-culture check out the films of Takashi Miike, the guy who directed 'Audition'. His new movie just came out on dvd "Sukiyaki Western Django" features a cameo by Quentin Tarantino and is a messy mix of Samurai themes and Spaghetti Western violence, with all of the native Japanese actors speaking intentionally *very* broken engrish. It's hilarious and entertaining, but nowhere nearly as psychotic as Miike's 'Izo' which I also just bought on dvd. The man is nuts, but a genius IMO.
