I converted my boss!!!!

My boss is one of those "I'm quitting smoking with the gum" and has been for at least 4 years. However, he's still smoking too.

So, a couple of days ago I mentioned that I was waiting for my order of Kardus and he got interested.

I've told him countless times that snus is cheaper than the gum and he should look into it. Well, he showed interest, so I gave him a couple of Ettan regular portions, and what do you know.... He liked it.

So I gave him several different types today, and he's digin it big time

I gave him:
Catch Dry Peppermint
Ettan Regular
Ettan White
1847 regular
Grove
General Wintergreen
Probe Whiskey

So now he has a bunch to play with.....

He told me he was pissed because he just got a box of the gum and he doesn't know what to do with it now....

Hopefully, another joins the ranks of the snusers!!!!

Good work! While technically, it would be better if he could use the gum and quit altogether, by about the 4 year mark of buying boxes of gums, its time to try something else. That's the way my boss actually was at my last company. He kept buying different things, but would only try them for about an hour before giving up to go smoke. He just wanted to feel better thinking that he was trying, and he wanted to try to make his wife happy. I wish I still lived there so I could get him to try snus.

Ohh, and tell him to try taking the gum back if he did not open it. If it's opened, however, no dice.

I've yet to get anybody past step one. :wink: Too much of an oral tobacco stigma, I guess. Everyone puts a portion in, cries about how much it burns, then spits it out and tells me my jaw will rot and fall off if I keep doing that shit. These are people who smoke constantly, mind you....

I've seriously had more interest coming from people who don't use tobacco at all, or who quit using tobacco products a long time ago. :?

I had a box of nicotine gum left and decided to chew four pieces at a time (16mg nicotine) and it satisfied me pretty well. However, NRT is a complete joke, since it's way more expensive than snus or cigarettes.

If it is open though, he may want to look around to make sure it is legal to resell it. I know in some states it is against the law to resell any medicine product that has been opened, even if it is over the counter.

In the end, though, just tell him to burnt it if it is open and thank you for showing him a MUCH safer product that actually works and keeps people off of cigarettes. I mean, what is the success rate of the gum to quit for over a year? Something like 3%?

I hope to convert every one i know! :wink: Luckly every one i work with except a few dip so getting the too try should be easy, Just wait till they're out then when they ask for a dip i hand em a portion with out saying a thing and when the snus kicks in boom they'll be full of questions.
Congratz on Converting your boss. Maybe one day snus will be the most common form of tobacco use and not frowned upon because its an oral product! Viva Snus!

Well, he's diggin' it.... He told me he went all weekend with no gum and no smokes (which for him is a BIG thing)...


So far he likes Ettan, and I introduced him to Onyx today...
I'm giving him all the one's I really don't like and if he likes 'em, cool - if not; trash...

My dental hygenist is now trying snus!
Even my vascular surgeon agrees it's so much better than smoking.
Although he would prefer I gave up nic all together.
Simple choice for me; smoke and die a painful horrible death, give up completely and put on loads of weight and be depressed, or keep on snusing.

No contest.
