MN_Snuser: My dad was an AE; served in P3 squadrons for most of his career. I grew up around those things. 8) I had a chance to work on one myself when we had a Canadian P3 squadron come through when I was in. I remember I worked on a taxi light for them, and after I repaired it and sent it back to them, they came to my shop and gave me a fifth of scotch as thanks. Totally awesome of them.
I hear the P3's are finally being phased out....I'll be sad to see them go.Comment

The P-3 community is fantastic. Most of the planes I worked on were older than me, LOL. The damm things were always broken. But I loved them. IIRC, they are replacing them with a boeing 737. It's an end of an era.Originally posted by JasonComment
