For those of you not in the know, there's now an unofficial IRC channel for us snuson members! If you are as addicted to snus as you are talking about it, it's the place to be!
If you know how to use IRC, it's as simple as connecting to irc.freenode.net and going to the ##snus channel.
If you don't know how to use IRC, there are a few options.
The first option is using a java applet on your browser to connect to the channel.
It's as simple as
1. Going to http://java.freenode.net
2. Entering a nickname in the nickname field.
3. adding ##snus to the channel field
4. Hit connect!
The traditional way of chatting on IRC is through a client (And it's alot easier). Here are the steps to download and connect to the chat on a Windows machine with the popular mIRC chat client...
1. Go to www.mirc.com and download and install the mirc client. Their webpage is easy to use.
2. After downloading, install the exe as you would any other windows program.
3. You'll get this screen once everything's installed. No need to register...just hit continue.
4. After that, you'll be asked some information to enter. You can enter a fake email address if you want, it doesn't verify it.
5. Before you hit OK, click "Servers" on the left side of the window, click the Freenode folder and click random server. Then hit OK
6. A box will pop up asking what channel to join. type ##snus and hit
join.
7. Congrats! You're now connected to the channel and ready to chat!
For you mac users who aren't in the know, Shownarou has written a similar "how to" that he'll upload shortly.
