For most of my smoking career I smoked Marlboro Medium, with a bunch of other stuff mixed in there.

Bleh, Mediums were the only cigarettes that ever made me throw up. Marlboros in general have always tasted a little like dirt to me...

Honestly, I've never really been able to tell too much of a difference from brand to brand, unless it's from regular to menthol or something. I probably would've been just fine smoking GPC or some other discount brand. But I sure got a lot of comments like yours from other smokers. Same thing happened when I smoked Winston Lights for the first several years.

The one cigarette that I absolutely hated, and I don't know why, was Camel Wide.

Hey Starcadia, how long have you quit the cigarettes?

I haven't totally quit. I'm at about a pack a week and have been, more or less, since I started snusing about 10 months ago. I smoke Camel Lights now.

Yeah it's hard, I've kinda been on and off cigs for a couple of weeks, I find it particuarly hard in the morning, so I keep a snus portion in at night, or failing that keep my can right by my bedside ready if I need it. I keep having to reload my quit counter  but am hoping this it now.

Good luck to you, Raddleman, and don't be too hard on yourself if you have some cigarettes here and there. I personally find I need to have a small guilty habit or two to feel human.

I didn't like Camel Wides, either.....the taste or the feel. Like smoking a shitty cigarillo with a filter on it. :P

I always thought the "aftersmell" of Winstons was pretty nasty; they were also a little on the strong side for me.

Mine were People's True Taste Ultralight, which was the LIGHTEST ultralight I could find, shoved into GIzeh Silvertip Extra tubes, which had 25 mm high density filters.

That's probably why I ordered nothing but mini-portions on my first order and am so happy with them.

Many years of Marlboro reds. The last year it was American Spirit full, filterless or RYO. Still have some RYO and may spark one up at some point just to see if I still like it.

I smoked cigarettes for 50 years (30 a day). Also did a pipe and cigars off and on during those years.

Tried everything I could find but always came back to a favorite brand of the day. Different story entirely with snus. I like many brands and always order different brands, rather than a roll of a single brand. And I'm still finding ones I haven't tried before, so I order them.
